We will have a FREE drop in craft event between 11:00-2:00pm or until materials run out. The craft activity is suitable for children aged 4+

To celebrate World Autism Awareness Month and as part of our DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, Inclusion) plans, we wanted to share with you our commitment to inclusivity at WMSP for 2024 onwards.

🤫 We're working on a Quiet Room in our Adventure Theme Park, as a safe place for guests to visit when they feel like they need a calm break from all the fun.

☀️ We will be running our first Quiet Morning on Sunday 28th April, for guests who would like to explore the Safari Walk with limited stimulation, with the option for an open Safari Drive time slot, so you can have more flexibility to plan your day. Look out for the event page with more information coming soon.

✋ Our staff will be having some training in the coming months, learning how to communicate with Makaton.

🛍️ We will be introducing ear defenders, available to hire for a returnable deposit.

📖 We're expanding on our Social Story, to include a trail map of busy and stimulating areas to help you more efficiently plan your visit.

🪴 As part of our African Walking Trail development, we're creating a sensory garden space along the route.

We have received notice that Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will be visiting Worcestershire later this month to inspect our arrangements for children with special education needs and disabilities (SEND).

The inspectors want to hear from children and young people, parents and carers, and practitioners about the help and support that children and young people with SEND get.

The surveys are accessible via the following link and will close at 9am on Tuesday 16 April 2024.

🆘We need your help!! 📢We need to hear your SEND child's story!! ✒️Please complete our short form. 🖊️The Department for Education are due to visit Worcestershire next month for the 24-month review of the SEND improvement plan. It is FiP's responsibility to represent the views and experiences of all Worcestershire parent carers and their SEND children & young people. 👍👎We will meet the inspectors during their visit, but we also have to submit evidence in advance of their visit. 🕵️This is where we need your help! 👀We are looking for case studies of SEND children living in Worcestershire that positively or negatively support the themes that the DfE identified when they assessed Worcestershire 24 months ago. Is your child receiving excellent support in mainstream? Waiting for a specialist placement to become available? Noticed an improvement in the quality of EHCPs? Please share your experiences of the last 6 months with us.

Looking for Easter activities? Get yourself down to our centre for some family fun in the woods. We have Pond Dipping, Bird Spotting, Crafts and Den making with our new toddler zone too. Plus a trail about a mysterious egg that has been found!
