Neck pain? How's your posture watching TV?📺
We see a lot of people in clinic who have neck pain issues and our pre-treatment discussions can quite often reveal they’re watching TV at an angle.
❗️When the head is continually turned to one side or tilted up to view the screen (if the tv is hung on the wall) the neck muscles are holding that position, causing muscle fatigue and tension.
❗️ Long periods of viewing each week gradually lead to soreness and even tension headaches.
❗️Sitting with your head off-center can create uneven muscle use, potentially leading to stiffness or discomfort in your neck, shoulders, or upper back so it really does have a knock on effect to your overall posture, causing postural imbalance.
😀Ideally your screen needs to be in front of you so your head is in a neutral position.
