If your brain won’t stop racing at night:

Try a “brain dump” 🧠

Write down:

Everything you’re worrying about
Tasks you need to do
Random thoughts

Then ask:
👉 “Do I need to solve this right now?”

Your brain relaxes when it knows it doesn’t have to hold everything.

When anxiety spikes, try this:

🔹 Name 3 things you can see
🔹 Name 3 things you can hear
🔹 Move 3 parts of your body

It gently brings you out of overwhelm and back into the present.

Simple. Effective. Backed by how your brain processes threat.

Save for when you need it 🤍

Stress isn’t just thoughts.

It lives in your body.

Signs your nervous system is overloaded:

Tight chest
Clenched jaw
Brain fog
Snapping at people
Feeling wired and exhausted

Try this:
👉 Shake out your arms and shoulders for 30 seconds
👉 Take a deep sigh (yes, audible!)
👉 Let your body move — not just your thoughts

Regulation starts in the body.

Feeling overwhelmed, snappy, or shut down?

Your nervous system may be dysregulated — not broken.

Try this 5-minute reset:

👣 Put both feet flat on the floor.

🙏🏻 Press your hands together gently.

🧘🏼‍♀️ Take a slow breath in through your nose (4 seconds)

🌬 Long exhale through your mouth (6–8 seconds)

👀 Look around and name 5 things you can see.

This helps signal safety back to your body.

Save this for later 🤍

3 signs your nervous system might be stuck in survival or 'threat' mode:

You feel constantly tired but wired

Small things feel overwhelming

You struggle to relax, even when you have time

This isn’t you 'failing to cope'
This is your body trying to protect you. Often from a real or percieved threat.

The good news?
You can gently teach your system that it’s safe again.

I’ll be sharing some simple tools this week you can try at home 💚

Post-it post!

'True confidence is living with uncertainty' ~ Phil Stutz

For those that know me, I am a post it person 😅

My walls are filled with profound snippets of information that have stuck with me. Things I want to remember because they hold a simple, yet important message to consider.

Uncertainty is one of the most difficult things in life we have to encounter. Not knowing what will be tomorrow or in weeks to come, or even years.

When stressors are heightened, anxiety is increased its usually to do with an intolerance to uncertainty. A need to control the outcome. To avoid the worst case scenario at all costs. This can be both internal and external, avoidance of failing, or getting to work late.

🌿 How do we free ourselves from this?

By embracing the very thing we fear = uncertainty. Accepting that uncertainty is a part of life and trusting in our ability to deal with whatever comes your way because well, you already do even when its difficult and uncomfortable.

Ways to embrace uncertainty:

Like anything we need to practice, begin small.

🌿 watch a film you would never normally choose.

🌿 take a different route to the shop that you usually do.

🌿 choose something new on the menu!

🌿 if you always say no to that coffee date - try saying. yes.

🌿 let someone else choose. If you make all of the decisions, maybe its time to test the waters and let someone else. Whether thats as simple as deciding whats for tea, or where you're going out for the day.

Finally been sorting the website which will be live soon, to share all the services on offer, along with my new blog!

I’ve been thinking about the kinds of questions that sit quietly in people — the ones that don’t always get asked out loud.
If there’s something you’ve wondered about therapy, trauma, emotional regulation, relationships, or healing… I’m opening space to explore those themes in future blog posts.

You’re welcome to drop a comment below 👇🏻 or PM me. Anonymous curiosity is welcome too.
