Here at Lincroft Meadow we love our weekly visits from Wellington, our adorable friend from Therapy Dogs Nationwide. Today was no exception and everyone enjoyed seeing him.

The gorgeous boy is pictured here spending time with our fabulous resident, John. The pair have enjoyed regular visits for over a year and are now firm friends.

What a lovely way to end the week. Happy Friday everyone! 🐾🐾🐾

We celebrated World Food Day here at Lincroft Meadow with an ABBA-themed Eurovision afternoon.

We were entertained by the wonderful Charmaine, who sang all our favourite ABBA songs. Some of our fabulous activities and maintenance team members dressed up and entertained us with their wonderful dance routines too.

We were then treated to a delicious selection of sweet treats from around the Eurovision countries. Thank you to all involved in making it such a fun and memorable afternoon.

Here at Lincroft Meadow our staff work hard every day, but sometimes they put so much extra effort in, we feel the need to say an additional thank you.

Last week, we treated Doricah, Christian, Esther, Chineme and Sheryl to a delicious Marks and Spencer afternoon tea to say thank you for going the extra mile.

These treats are so well deserved, we hope you thoroughly enjoyed them. 🥰

Yesterday, our lovely friends from Grace Church Kidlington visited us here at Lincroft Meadow to take their regular monthly service for us.

On this occasion, they planned a lovely harvest-themed service and even surprised us with an amazing hamper of delicious (and very fancy!) biscuits that had been donated by their church members.

We would all like to say an enormous thank you to Phil and his wonderful team of volunteers for giving up their time for us each month and also for the wonderful hamper. 🥰

On World Mental Health Day, here at Lincroft Meadow we have been thinking about ways to promote mental well-being.

Our fabulous residents and team members had lots of great suggestions, but by far the most popular idea was spending time outdoors, enjoying nature and breathing fresh air.

Here at Lincroft Meadow we are prouder than ever to support the Alzheimer's Society, especially as they have recently launched their new campaign: It will take a society to beat dementia.

As part of the campaign, the Society has updated the format of their Dementia Friends Information Sessions to ensure they have maximum impact. Our team member, Suzi is a Dementia Friends Ambassador and she was excited to receive her updated pack, complete with the new-style badges today.

So, if your group or organisation would like to book a free one-hour information session to learn more about dementia, please contact Suzi on 01865 950500 or email suzanne.morgan@porthaven.co.uk. Refresher sessions can also be arranged if you've previously had one but would like an update.

Today is World Smile Day so we thought we'd share some lovely smiles with our followers!

These photos were taken at The Big Sing, Kidlington, earlier this week. Our residents always have a great time when we take a trip to this fabulous community singing event.

Today, here at Lincroft Meadow we are celebrating the United Nations International Day of Older Persons 2025.

The day is observed annually to recognise the contribution that older individuals make to society. So today, we have been asking our residents to share some wise words about either the aging process or their approach to life in general.

The results are pictured here. Thank you to each of our residents for their wonderful contribution. We will certainly take your advice on board. 🥰
