Targeted Lung Health Checks are now being offered by Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) to help find lung problems early – often before you notice any symptoms. If you’re aged between 55 and 74 and have ever smoked, ask for a free NHS Targeted Lung Health Check.

Understanding John Hopkins, adjusted clinical needs score and Patient Need Groups (PNGs)
Ever wondered how healthcare providers tailor their care? Introducing Patient Need Groups (PNGs) from Johns Hopkins!
What are PNGs? PNGs categorise patients based on the complexity of their healthcare needs, not just their medical conditions.
How do they work? Patients are grouped by factors like chronic conditions and severity of illness:
• Group 1 PNG: Complex Care Needs
• Group 2 PNG: Stable Chronic Conditions
• Group 3 PNG: Requires less intervention
Benefits:
1. Personalised Care

Carers Oxfordshire are pleased to introduce Carers Phone Friends, a new service from Carers Oxfordshire offering regular, friendly phone calls to unpaid carers across Oxfordshire.

Caring for a loved one can be deeply rewarding, but it can also be isolating. Many carers report feeling cut off from the community or struggling to find time for themselves. Carers Phone Friends aims to address this by connecting unpaid carers with trained volunteers who understand the challenges of caring.
