Cervical Screening results

From 24 March, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme will start making results that require referral to colposcopy available through the NHS App.

If your result is normal, you’ll receive it securely in the app. You’ll still get a letter in the post if you don’t have the app, or if more tests are needed.

Digital first communications will first appear as an NHS App notification:

For results requiring referral to colposcopy, if the NHS App message isn’t read within 24 hours, a letter will be sent as a failsafe.
For all other communications, if the NHS App message isn’t read within 72 hours, a letter will be sent as a failsafe.
Some participants may also receive an SMS notification.

A very disappointing incident has occurred overnight on Tuesday 10th March at Gosford Hill Medical Centre. Two small rocks were thrown at our building smashing the nurse’s treatment room window and damaging the frame of the window in the next office. This matter has been reported to the police and we have an incident number. If anyone knows any further information about how this damage occurred or whom was responsible please contact Gosford Hill Medical Centre so the information can be passed to the police.

COVID SPRING BOOSTERS - 2026

The eligibility criteria for the covid spring booster in 2026 are as follows:
• Adults aged 75 or older by 30th June 2026 (born on or before 30th June 1951)
• Residents in care homes for older people
• Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed

Our first clinic will be held on Saturday 18th April 2026. Please contact the practice to book your appointment.

The practice will be closed on Wednesday 4th March from 1:00pm to 6:30pm for essential staff training.

During this time, our phone lines and reception will not be available. If you need urgent medical advice while we are closed, please contact NHS 111. In a medical emergency, please call 999 or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency department.
