At Morgan Optometry, we pride ourselves in our combination of highly qualified practitioners and friendly support staff. Whether you are looking for stylish glasses, extremely comfortable contact lenses, or an eye examination that uses the latest in modern technology to ensure your eyes are clear and healthy, we look forward to helping you. You can be assured of highly professional eyecare and cli

nical attention. We have a policy of employing optometrists that work, or have worked, at local eye hospitals and all spectacle frames and lenses are measured by our GOC registered dispensing opticians. Located four miles north of Oxford, in the village of Kidlington, the practice offers convenient parking directly outside. A stop for buses from Oxford (Buses No.2 – although not the 2A) is approximately 200 yards from the practice.

Today is the start of Mental Health Awareness Week. We’re shouting loudly that great mental health care isn't just clinical, it's human. It’s the kind voice at the end of the phone when you’re worried about rent and too unwell to work. It’s the adviser who listens actively, rather than waiting for their turn to speak. And it's you reminding friends and loved ones that these contact details can save lives. Please share 💙

We love our Optos😍It provides ultra wide photos of the retina, and I like to compare it to searching in a room with lights switched on (180 degrees of retina in one photo), better than standard retinal cameras with 30 degree fields and much, much better than searching in a dark room using a torch (which is like using traditional lenses to view the retina 15 degrees at a time). The autofluorescence option shows up things that would be otherwise missed- see evidence of old central serous chorioretinopathy below.

Spot the difference! Our OCT is so helpful; last year this lovely lady came in noticing that her right vision was a bit odd- see picture on the left. We were able to diagnose and refer her to Oxford Eye Hospital where she had treatment within a week and now has the excellent result shown on the right!
