After seeing a post yesterday saying Kilcreggan surgery will not accept Sharps bins from our patients , I'd just like to confirm that is not the case.

Your sharps bins can be handed in to the practice, all we ask is that you please ensure the bin is properly sealed and you have signed the label.

DO YOU NEED WELFARE RIGHTS
OR BENEFITS ADVICE?

As part of a new initiative, Welfare Rights Officers at Argyll and Bute Council are working in partnership with GP surgeries to provide Welfare Rights Advice in the following Medical Centres:

• Garelochhead Medical Centre
• Kilcreggan Medical Centre

The welfare benefits system can be complicated and it is not always clear what benefits, if any, someone may be entitled to. The Welfare Rights Team will be able to help with any benefit issues including appeal representation and can help ensure your household's income is maximised.

Patients registered at these surgeries can ask any GP or practice staff to be referred to the Council’s Welfare Rights Team.

We will also be operating a drop in option over the first few weeks10am -12.30pm:
• Kilcreggan 4th June 2025
• Garelochhead 11th June 2025
• Kilcreggan 18th June 2025
• Garelochhead 25th June 2025

Many of you will know Sheena Edwards from her involvement in the Sailing Club, Burgh Hall, Guides and Brownies and much more, and especially from her many , many years caring for patients at Kilcreggan Practice. But nothing good lasts forever, and after an extended trip to Japan and the far east Sheena has finally said goodbye to her colleagues and patients and is starting what I am sure will be a long and busy retirement! Please join all at the practice in wishing her a very happy next chapter!
We are already missing her.

Sorry to report that two cars belonging to staff have been damaged in the small car park at the surgery this morning. It looks like someone has hit them whilst trying to manoeuvre. The damage is very minor so it's possible they didn't even realise they had hit something.

If you were parked in the small car park please check your vehicle as there will be damage.

If anyone witnessed this incident please contact us at the practice on 01436 842156, or pop in.
