🛜 Online Repeat Prescription Ordering 🛜

Thank you to all our patients who are using the online prescription service. It is operating very smoothly for those who have already registered. Using the online system will free up the surgery’s phone lines to help access for patients requiring appointments and advice.

If patients are having difficulties in registering for online services, there are step by step instruction videos available on our website -

There is also a clear step by step instruction leaflet available at reception. Please call in and ask our staff.

We would encourage all our patients who require repeat medications to register for online prescription ordering as soon as possible as we plan to use the online system ONLY from 1st June 2026.

For patients who genuinely cannot access the online services there will be provision for those patients to order repeat prescriptions by phone between 1000 - 1100 ONLY.

Strength & Balance Class – going from strength to strength 💪

The rain certainly didn’t put off our participants, who turned out in their droves to take part in our Strength & Balance Class. Today we were delighted to facilitate 32 participants – a fantastic turnout!

Strength & Balance classes focus on improving muscle strength, stability, posture and coordination. They are designed to help people stay active, reduce the risk of falls, improve confidence in everyday movement, and support both physical and mental wellbeing.

This programme is funded by the Southern Health & Social Care Trust and is free to attend.

Strength & Balance Coordinator, Sophie Annett (Kilkeel Development Association), stated:

“I love a Friday meeting up with my Strength & Balance participants. They get as much out of it as I do – from the connections and friendships made, to improvements in physical and mental health and wellbeing. I am very proud of what has been achieved during the month of January.”

If any groups would like to try a Strength & Balance taster session, please get in touch and I will provide more details. I couldn’t recommend it more. 💪

We are aware that there are issues with our phone lines currently and apologise for the inconvenience it is causing patients trying to get through to the surgery. We are working with the phone company in the background to try to resolve the problem.
The issues seem to be intermittent so please keep trying if you can’t get through initially.

❄️ WINTER PRESSURES ❄️

We are in the middle of the busiest time of year. Please help us to make sure appointments are available for the patients who need them most.

🗓️ APPOINTMENTS
Please respect the appointment system. Emergency appointments are needed for patients who are acutely unwell, not for minor ailments or problems that have been going on for some time. Please do not mislead our reception team by stating your problem is an emergency if it is not.

⏰ LATENESS
Please be on time for your appointment. If you arrive late you will be asked to reschedule your appointment as this has a huge impact on the smooth running of the clinic and is not fair on the patients booked for the rest of the clinic.

🚧 CANCELLATIONS
If you cannot attend your appointment please call the reception team to cancel as this appointment can be utilised for someone else.

🛜 OTHER OPTIONS
Please consider other sources of advice such as the nhs website, and our local pharmacists who are skilled in dealing with minor ailments, sore throats and urinary infections.
