Great effort from the Burry Blues today against a strong Hexham side!

After conceding a really early goal, the boys could have let their heads drop, but instead they showed great character. They kept their composure, settled into the game and started playing their own passing football. Their hard work paid off as they fought their way ahead by half time and then really pushed on in the second half to run away with the game by full time.

Player of the Match could honestly have went to the whole team today, but went to Bodhi, who showed some silky skills and put in a great turn in defence and to Ziggy, whose off-the-ball movement was excellent and finished his chances with real quality.

Brilliant work again boys, keep it going. We’re proud of you all!

Another tough test for the Burry Blues against a strong Heaton Stan side.

It took the boys a little while to settle into the match, and after conceding a couple of early goals they showed great character to stick to the game plan. They kept the ball moving, trusted their passing, and didn’t let their heads drop. Their hard work paid off with a brilliant team goal, full of sharp passes and movement that wouldn’t have looked out of place at Barcelona!

Players of the Match go to Jacob for commanding his area, bravely closing down attacks and pulling off some excellent saves to keep us in the game. Also to Theo for his trademark tough tackling, powerful driving runs, and for leading by example from start to finish.

Well done again boys, keep working hard and keep believing in yourselves!

The Burry Blues have just took part in the Blyth Futsal Festival and what a journey it was! No good for the coaches hearts!

After a tough start in the group stage, the boys showed fantastic determination and resilience. With each game, their confidence grew, their teamwork improved, and they began to find their rhythm. By the time they reached their final group match, they were really coming into their own, delivering a brilliant performance to squeeze their way into the final.

The final itself was another big test against a very strong Cramlington side. It was a competitive, high-energy match, but the Blues rose to the occasion. Playing with confidence, skill, and great team spirit, they secured an emphatic victory to lift the trophy and be crowned champions!

A special mention goes to Brody for being named Player of the Tournament. His great balling skills and mazy runs caused problems for every team they faced, a fantastic individual achievement to top off a brilliant team performance!

Another tough physical test for the Burry Blues today as we faced a strong Blue Star side.
The boys rose to the challenge brilliantly, matching their opponents all over the pitch and responding in the best possible way by finding the back of the net. It was a determined, hard-working performance full of grit and teamwork.
Players of the Match go to Bodhi for his most physical display yet. He chased everything down, never gave up, and showed incredible determination from start to finish.
Also to Alfie, who was once again our rock at the back. Battling through his knocks, he led by example and put his body on the line for the team.
Well done, boys! Another excellent performance and showing how well we are adapting to the new formation. Keep it up!

Another tough match for the Burry Blues against a strong Bedlington side.

All of the lads put in a fantastic shift, especially impressive as they adapted to a new playing style and formation after just one training session to work on it. The effort, attitude, and willingness to try something new were great to see from everyone on the pitch.

Players of the Match went to Louis and Noah.

Louis worked his socks off throughout, grabbing himself a well-deserved goal and even attempting a spectacular bicycle kick while surrounded by opposition players!

Noah was outstanding as well, putting in some tough tackles, making powerful driving runs, and constantly pushing to create chances and get goals for the team.

Plenty of positives to take forward into the next match, well done, Boys!

Wasn’t the result we wanted but the boys, siblings and parents had the BEST time at the Brentford match as a team today!...
