2023 is bringing lots of craziness to my life! I’m blessed with so much and things in life are changing quickly.

BUT:

Most of you will know I’m a senior registrar in Emergency Medicine and this year I have a number of professional exams which I need to pass to become a consultant. Work is also manic, with a crazy workload (where a few years ago maybe 75% of my shifts were “tough”, now 99% of them are).

I also have a family that I adore and I spend too much time away from them already.

With this in mind I’m pausing my Aesthetics work. I’ll maybe be back when the NHS workload and exam situations are more manageable but at the moment doing both is to deliberately set a course for burn-out - which I don’t want to put myself or those close to me through.

I’ll follow up any existing clients/treatments as normal but I won’t be taking new bookings. I’ll hopefully use this account to keep you people in the loop with my NHS work, aesthetics advice and some family snapshots, but it won’t be updated very much I don’t imagine.

I’ve loved every minute of my foray into Aesthetics and have had some fab clients, so thank you to everyone that has been a part of it!

PARENTS PLEASE READ!

With the epidemic of Strep A (GAS/strep throat) presently there’s a very real possibility of pharmacies and hospitals running low on liquid forms of appropriate antibiotics. Now would be a great time if you have an older child (around 5 or older) to teach them how to swallow a pill!

These slides are from the “Healthier Together KIDZMED” program which has won awards for its innovative and effective approach to this. A quick google search will take you to their website.

If you are worried about your child please seek medical attention via your pharmacy, GP, NHS24/111 or if there are breathing difficulties, difficultly waking your child up or blue lips please call 999 or attend your closest A&E department. Please don’t use A&E as the “I just want them checked over” service as Strep A is highly contagious and you could be putting vulnerable others at risk.

So chuffed with the results on this lovely client this evening!

A little bit of needle-fresh swelling in the after pics (but then most of you secretly love that 😇) which will settle leaving the lips subtly plumped with a slight rebalance favouring the upper lip.

You have no idea how many amazing transformations didn’t make the grid because I forgot the before pics!

But on the subject of before-and-after pictures on social media: they’re fab for an injector to have as a public portfolio but they will ONLY be used where consent has been given, so if you’re not comfortable with anything going on social media that’s totally fine. I’ll always check with you.

It will be too late if you leave it to December to think about this! The perfect treatment plan to have your holiday face party and selfie ready will come together in October and November.
