Last Monday was a milestone for Eacha. Our kitchen and cafe was finally ready to open our doors. Our community friends now provides a free food service 5 days a week, Between the hub and New Laigh Kirk Church Hall.
Between community friends and community cafe over 200 people were fed good food.
A huge thank you to everyone who made our opening night for the Community Café on Wednesday evening such a success! ☕💛.
We’re so grateful for this wonderful community and can’t wait to do it again Wednesday night 🧑🍳
Preparations are on hand for the social enterprise, which is opening a week today.
As Michael always says, “one dream, one team.”
The past six months have been a real journey getting the kitchen up to standard and ready to welcome the people of Kilmarnock and beyond. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth every bit of hard work.
We truly couldn’t have done it without the incredible support from our local businesses. A special thank you to Blair’s Refrigeration , The Park Hotel Kilmarnock, and Robert and Vivian Kyle of the RAD Hotel Group for their continued help and support.
And of course, to the many others who have lent a hand along the way—your support hasn’t gone unnoticed (even if Michael might have forgotten to mention everyone… we’ll blame that on him getting on a bit 👨🦳😂).
We’re proud to be part of such a supportive community—thank you all!
From the amazing team of staff and volunteers working hard behind the scenes in the kitchen, to those out on the floor, on the till, making coffees, and serving food — we couldn’t have done it without you.
