As we move into a new season, nature reminds us that change is natural.

Just like the trees let go of their leaves, we can also let go of what we no longer need, creating space for new possibilities (IYKYK 😉)

Back to Classes This Week

It’s lovely to be back with you all

👉 Wednesday 6–7pm at Centrestage – John will be at this class alone as I’ll be at school cheering Emily on as she receives an award for her exam results!!

👉 Thursday – Online class is back!
We’ll be focusing on foundations and mindful movement.

I’m working through a back injury and stress fractures just now, so you’ll see me adapting in real time. If you’d like to explore how to move mindfully while caring for your body, you can follow along with what I’m doing.

Some days, work has us stuck indoors but the sunshine calls.

Today I made time for a little lunchtime walk, a reminder that even a few minutes outdoors can shift your whole energy.

Movement doesn’t have to be fancy.
Self-care doesn’t have to wait until after work.
A few deep breaths, some sun on your face and a stretch of your legs is sometimes all you need to feel a little more you.

If you’re stuck at your desk today, see if you can find a moment to step outside. Your body and mind will thank you.

While summer brings us a surge of energy and excitement, it’s also important to find balance amidst the busy-ness. As we dive into social events, outdoor adventures, and vibrant energy, let’s remember that true power comes from within and sometimes, the quiet moments allow us to hear our inner voice.

Grounding is such a powerful practice. Today, let’s connect with the earth beneath us. Stand or sit with your feet firmly planted on the ground. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, feeling the support of the earth below you.

This grounding exercise is especially important as we move into the summer season, which calls for energy and balance. When we root ourselves in the earth, we create space for the energy of the season to flow freely.

Today, let’s practice the 4-7-8 breathing technique. This simple, yet powerful practice helps calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and centre our minds. It's perfect for connecting to the present moment.

Here’s how to do it:

Inhale through your nose for a count of 4

Hold your breath for a count of 7

Exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of 8

Repeat 4 times, and notice how your mind begins to clear.
