A huge GOOD LUCK to Charlie, Thomas, Rachel, Meg, Ruaridh, David and Jamie, who are all running the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday!

Charlie and his siblings - Rachel, Meg & Ruaridh, and family friends David & Jamie, are all running in memory of Morag Judd; mum of Charlie, Rachel, Meg & Ruaridh, who sadly passed away last year after a 9-year battle with cancer. They are also running to raise money for the wonderful Beatson Cancer Charity, a charity close to Morag’s heart, and have already raised an amazing £5152!

Have fun team - we know you’ll all do great and will be cheering you all on from afar 😉💪

It’s just over 3 weeks to until our Ergathon on Saturday 6th June to raise funds for the amazing Beatson Cancer Charity and we only have 3 team spaces for our 8:30am slot and 5 team spaces for the 9:30am slot!!! For the days you just want to show up, switch off, and turn up the music; this program delivers! Built around low-skill, high-intensity conditioning, our Sweat classes are designed to boost your cardiovascular fitness and work capacity in a fun group environment.

A little snapshot of some of the movements coming up in our NEW Functional Fitness & Performance classes (starting Monday 18th May) - perfect for building a well-rounded fitness foundation through a combination of strength and conditioning! 👀🫀🫁💪

For those who want to get stronger, fitter and increase body confidence; this well-rounded Hybrid program builds your capacity to perform - both in sport and in everyday life.

Blending functional training with sustainable intensity, these classes are designed for people who want to keep gym sessions fun and varied, in a coach-led group environment.

Combining strength, endurance and mobility, the Functional Fitness & Performance program is delivered across two tracks:

(i) Fitness Track: Prioritises balanced strength using dumbbells and kettlebells, alongside conditioning through low-skill, mixed-modality workouts.

➡️ Recommended for the yellow, orange, and blue levels of our roadmap 🟡🟠🔵

(ii) Performance Track: Features technical strength work and high skill bodyweight movements.

Using a combination of barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and bodyweight movements, our Functional Strength sessions develop balance, coordination, and overall strength in a fun, coach-led environment.

Accessible to a wide range of fitness levels, these classes blend traditional strength training with functional fitness principles - so the strength you build translates directly into real-life movement.

You’ll experience a wide variety of exercises and intensities designed to target the full-strength spectrum: power, maximal strength, and muscular endurance.

📣 WE HAVE AN EXCITING ANNOUNCEMENT...

From Monday 18th May, we’ll be launching a new group class timetable - with FOUR different class options!

Instead of a broad, general program, we’re breaking things down into more focused options - so you can train with greater purpose, clarity and enjoyment:

Class 1: Functional Strength classes will follow a progressive strength program for those who are looking to get stronger, increase muscle mass and improve movement quality.

Class 2: Functional Fitness & Performance is a hybrid program for those looking to improve strength and fitness simultaneously. The ‘Fitness’ track is suitable for all fitness levels, whilst the ‘Performance’ track features technical movements for those seeking challenge.

Class 3: Sweat is a varied conditioning program that mixes fitness racing (i.e. Hyrox), mixed-modality training and traditional aerobic exercise for those who want to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance.

Class 4: Longevity – formerly Legends – is a strength and conditioning program designed to improve health and longevity through targeted strength and stability work, mobility exercises, and moderate intensity conditioning.

Taken together, these four class options will make up the Aristos Group Fitness program!

We believe this new structure will give you more control over your training, greater flexibility to keep fitness fun and varied, and a clearer path toward your individual goal - whilst continuing to provide the support and community you value.
