Baby Sensory provides hundreds of sensory development activities that are great fun for parents and babies to share in the vital first year. The Baby Sensory programme consists of over 40 themed lesson plans, so every week you will share new sensory experiences with your baby. Our African Adventure this week is definitely not disappointing! The looks on the grown-ups’ faces never mind the babies have been absolutely amazing. I’m loving hearing the actual gasps around the room too ✨

This is exactly why this theme is one of my personal favourites. From glowing lights to magical sensory moments, every class has been filled with wonder and smiles💫

Baby Sensory ‘Say Hello to the Sun’

Since the very first Baby Sensory class took place in 2003, thousands of babies all over the world have enjoyed the words and melody of ‘Say Hello to the Sun’ by Dr Lin Day.

Observations in qualitative research have shown that babies who heard the song regularly in infancy often surprised their parents by singing the song from beginning to end in childhood.

In the home, Baby Sensory ‘Say Hello to the Sun’ and Baby Sensory instrumental lullabies can set the tone for a relaxed and a calming atmosphere.

🥇 Phew… I am officially PUFFED OUT after Sports Day week! What a week it has been! We’ve had football matches, fabulous swimming moves, and I think I’m about to lose my voice after the marathon! 🤣

I’m now wondering… how many times have I said “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” this week? I’m not sure I even want to know 😂

💚 Meet Timmy the Tummy Time Duck 💚

If you come along to my Baby Sensory classes you will often spot Timmy in our play area because honestly… I just LOVE him! 🦆✨

Timmy is the perfect little tummy time friend for your baby. He sits perfectly on his tummy making him super easy for little ones to focus on during tummy time. Simply place Timmy in front of your baby to encourage them to lift their head, strengthen their neck muscles and explore the world around them.

Give Timmy a little rattle too and he helps to increase auditory awareness as baby listens carefully to the gentle sounds.

Why is tummy time so important?
💚 Helps strengthen neck, back and shoulder muscles
💚 Supports motor skill development
💚 Encourages visual tracking and sensory exploration
💚 Builds the foundations for rolling, sitting and crawling

And the best bit? Timmy is SO incredibly soft and cuddly… definitely a class favourite and one of mine too 🥹🫶
