✨ Have you been thinking about trying yoga but aren’t quite sure if you’re ready to step into a class?
A Private Taster Session is the perfect way to begin — gentle, personalised, and designed entirely around you.

✨ During this 45-minute session, you’ll be introduced to:
• Yoga breathing (pranayama)
• Simple meditation techniques
• Foundational yoga poses
• Deep relaxation

Everything is taught at a pace that feels comfortable, with plenty of time to ask questions and build confidence. You’ll be supported throughout, with each movement clearly explained before we begin, ensuring you feel safe, prepared, and relaxed.

✨ Suitable for all beginners — both male and female — and also available as a 2-2-1 session if you’d like to bring a friend.

🕯️ Candlelight Yin Yoga 🧘🏻‍♀️

This week brought a little change to our usual yoga classes. After taking a small fall late last week, I felt it was the perfect moment to really slow things down. And as we move into the darker, quieter phase of the year, what better practice to lean into than Yin yoga?

Yin yoga is a slow, meditative style of yoga that uses long, gentle holds—usually 2 to 5 minutes—to target the deeper connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and joints. Instead of engaging and activating the muscles, we soften, surrender, and allow time and gravity to guide us deeper.

✨ Key Qualities of Yin Yoga
• Slow & Still — Poses are held for several minutes with minimal movement
• Deep Stretching — Especially nourishing for hips, pelvis, spine, and lower body
• Mindfulness — Encourages calm, steady breath and inner awareness
• Nervous System Support — Helps activate the parasympathetic “rest and restore” response

We—Susan Staddon, Paul Symington, Shinade Jayne, Ulrike Graham, Ruth Kenny, and myself—have come together with one shared intention: to make yoga accessible to everyone 💛

Yoga for Everyone is a community project where each class operates on a donation basis. You are welcome to contribute whatever feels comfortable for you—whether that’s £2, £10, or anything in between. Yoga mats are available for all, so just bring yourself 💛

Each session offers a gentle blend of yoga styles, pranayama (breathwork), and calming relaxation to help you unwind. It’s a beautiful opportunity to stretch your body, soothe your mind, and connect with others in a welcoming space 💛

Classes run every Sunday from 9:45–10:45am at The Howard Centre, Portland Road, Kilmarnock, beginning November 30th.

Everyone is welcome—no experience needed 💛

So yesterday I completely forgot it was World Kindness Day 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyway after I realised and was a bit annoyed with myself I got to thinking, shouldn’t everyday be about kindness??

Yes it’s great to have one day out the year to really celebrate it, but kindness is such a big part of our lives, who we are as a person and how the world forms! We should celebrate anytime 💛

If you ever interested in how important kindness is and how much it really can change our lives, I highly recommend David R Hamilton PhD 💛
