Losing fat when you have kids or family to care for is harder. No doubt about it.

So what should you do?

Sometimes, you surrender for a while.
Life gets busy. Energy drops. Fitness takes a hit.
That’s normal.

There will be seasons where you gain fat and lose fitness — and that’s okay.

The key is knowing when to push and when to ride the wave.

When life feels a little calmer, that’s your moment to act.

Start simple:
• Make time to move
• 10–20 minutes, as many days as you can

Once you’re consistently exercising 1.5–3 hours per week for a couple of months, then think about tracking calories and macros.

You don’t need drastic changes.
You don’t need perfection.

Small, consistent habits over 6–12 months can create a version of you that actually sticks.

But you do need to start.
And you do need consistency.

So start now.
And start small. 💪

Yes, health can decline as we get older — but lifestyle has a huge say in how we age.

Training your body, eating well, and staying active can slow the aging process and help you live longer, stronger, and healthier.
Genetics matter, but daily habits matter more.

I’ve seen 70-year-olds fitter, stronger, and healthier than people half their age.

Not to put anyone down — just to show the power of lifestyle.

Losing fat when you’ve got kids or family responsibilities is definitely harder — but not impossible. So what can you do? Just like many of my clients, I’ve had seasons where I needed to simply hang on and get through the tough moments.

Sometimes life gets hectic, you slow down, you gain a little weight, and your fitness dips — and that’s okay. But when things settle, that’s your chance to make a move. Start small. Even 10–20 minutes of movement on as many days as you can is a great beginning. Once you’re consistently getting in 1.5–3 hours of exercise per week for a couple of months, then you can start tracking calories and macros.

There’s no race. You don’t need huge changes overnight. Small shifts, done steadily over 6–12 months, can completely transform you — and make those changes stick.

You just have to start… and stay consistent. Start small. Start today.

Does *perfection* even exist? 🤔
Sure — we all have *perfect moments*...
a great meal 🍝
a killer outfit 👗
a day that just feels right ☀️

But most of life? It’s imperfect — and that’s kinda beautiful. 💫

Even the people we think *look perfect* — Olympians, models, influencers — have insecurities.
If *they* can’t be perfect… what chance do any of us have? 😅

Chasing perfection can push us to improve 💪
but it can also pull us into self-criticism and comparison 😔

So instead — aim to feel **confident, healthy, and proud**.
That’s real. That’s sustainable. That’s enough. ❤️
