ANDY’S MAN CLUB KILMARNOCK – A MESSAGE FROM DAVE

My name is Dave, and I’m one of the facilitators at Andy’s Man Club Kilmarnock.
If you’ve been through our doors at any point over the last few years, chances are you’ve seen me sitting in the circle, kettle on, ready to welcome the next man through.

I’ve struggled with my mental health for a long time. Some days were heavy, some days were confusing, and for a long time I didn’t really know how to deal with any of it.
But walking into AMC changed things for me. Not overnight, not magically — but steadily, honestly, and in a way that actually stuck.

Being part of this group has helped me manage my mental health in a better way.
Not because I’m a facilitator, but because I’m a man who needed a space to talk, just like everyone else who walks through that door.

If you’re reading this and you’re struggling — or even if you’re just tired of carrying everything on your own — you’re welcome here. No judgement. No pressure. Just a room full of men who get it.

📍 NWKLEUS, Kilmarnock
🕖 Mondays – Doors open 6:30pm, start at 7pm
💬 Free | Confidential | For men 18+

You don’t need to have the words. You just need to show up.

From starting his recovery journey to running marathons and leading a recovery team, Ronnie's story is one of resilience, commitment and compassion.

Now an Advanced Practitioner at WithYou's North East Glasgow Hub, he shares what recovery, growth and supporting others really mean to him.

"At WithYou, I feel valued. They support me, my recovery, my health, my mental health. There hasn't been a day since I started where I've not wanted to go to my work." Ronnie says.

We are proud to be a part of this organisation ,founded by Molly, an inspirational mum when she wrote to the Guardian newspaper.
If you are a mum, dad, sibling, significant other or a friend, because of Molly Craven We Are WithYou!
Happy Mothers Day folks x

This Mother’s Day (15 March), we’re honouring the woman whose love and loss launched WithYou.

Our work is built on the story of Mollie Craven, who lost her son to he**in in 1967. In an article in The Guardian that year, she called for parents and friends of people facing challenges with drugs or alcohol to come together – to share, to learn and to find support.

Her message was simple: help one another.

This weekend, we’re thinking of every mum navigating the impact of drugs or alcohol – whether you’re supporting someone, grieving, or struggling yourself. Like Mollie in 1967, we continue to lead with empathy, compassion and understanding.

If this weekend feels difficult, you don’t have to face it alone.

💬You can chat to a trained recovery worker through WithYou webchat. More information in the comments.

Drug and alcohol use and mental health are closely connected - one can impact the other. We know drugs or alcohol are sometimes used to cope when things feel overwhelming. But over time, they can make you feel worse.

While Blue Monday is often called the "saddest day of the year", mental health doesn't follow a calendar. Whatever you're going through, we're withyou - today and everyday.

Our webchat is available today 9am-9pm.
