The family of the late Jimmy Dempsey, wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.
A special word of thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Portstewart Medical Centre, Medical 1 Causeway Hospital, Dalriada Doctor on Call, the Macmillan Nurses and the Optimum Carers for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Jimmy during the final months of his illness.
We extend our sincere thanks to Fr. Kevin McGuckien for his spiritual support and for celebrating such a beautiful and meaningful Requiem Mass. Thanks to the sacristan Deirdre, and to Bridgeen for providing the music.
We are deeply grateful to the friends and neighbours who visited the funeral home, sent mass and sympathy cards, letters, messages, gave donations in lieu of flowers, attended the funeral or who helped in any way.
A particular word of thanks to all those who helped organise the farewell service as requested by Jimmy, especially Ivan Campbell who led the service, together with Bernard Loughrey, Natalia Morelli and Seamus McClean for the music.
Thank you to Portstewart Community Association for stewarding and organising car parking and to Dominican College for the use of their grounds. We are indebted to the RNLI for the dignified manner in which Jimmyโs ashes were scattered at sea. Thanks to the staff of Lir at the Marina for providing refreshments after the service.
We wish to acknowledge the professionalism, sensitivity, and support of Dempsey Funeral Directors, Kilrea โ particularly Brian and Mairead โ for their care in arranging and conducting the funeral, and for their continued support.
