𝘿𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙨𝙚𝙮, 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩

The family of the late Jimmy Dempsey, wish to express their heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.

A special word of thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Portstewart Medical Centre, Medical 1 Causeway Hospital, Dalriada Doctor on Call, the Macmillan Nurses and the Optimum Carers for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Jimmy during the final months of his illness.

We extend our sincere thanks to Fr. Kevin McGuckien for his spiritual support and for celebrating such a beautiful and meaningful Requiem Mass. Thanks to the sacristan Deirdre, and to Bridgeen for providing the music.

We are deeply grateful to the friends and neighbours who visited the funeral home, sent mass and sympathy cards, letters, messages, gave donations in lieu of flowers, attended the funeral or who helped in any way.

A particular word of thanks to all those who helped organise the farewell service as requested by Jimmy, especially Ivan Campbell who led the service, together with Bernard Loughrey, Natalia Morelli and Seamus McClean for the music.

Thank you to Portstewart Community Association for stewarding and organising car parking and to Dominican College for the use of their grounds. We are indebted to the RNLI for the dignified manner in which Jimmy’s ashes were scattered at sea. Thanks to the staff of Lir at the Marina for providing refreshments after the service.

We wish to acknowledge the professionalism, sensitivity, and support of Dempsey Funeral Directors, Kilrea — particularly Brian and Mairead — for their care in arranging and conducting the funeral, and for their continued support.

The family and extended circle of the late Lorna Ann (R.I.P.) wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered sympathy and support during their recent bereavement.

We extend our special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Ward C7, Antrim Area Hospital, for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Lorna Ann during the final months of her illness; to her supervisor, Leslie, from McIlroy Court, Newtownabbey; and to her many dear friends, especially Marian, for their kindness and support.

Our sincere appreciation is also extended to Fr. David Delargy for his prayers and for officiating at the funeral service at the crematorium. We are deeply grateful to the friends and neighbours who visited the funeral home, sent Mass and sympathy cards, and attended the funeral.

Dempsey (Portstewart) 28/7/2025 peacefully at his home (Portnahapple) surrounded by his family, Jimmy R.I.P. beloved husband of Barbara and devoted father of Nora, Paula, Sara and Barry, a dear grandfather, father in-law, and brother of Paddy and Josie (USA)

Jimmy is reposing in Dempsey’s Funeral Home, 11 Coleraine Street, Kilrea where everyone is welcome to call on Wednesday from 2-4 pm and from 7-9pm.

Family home and cremation is strictly private.

A thanksgiving memorial service for Jimmy will be held at 11am on Wednesday 6th August at Strand Road Car Park (above Portnahapple).

No flowers at his request. Donations in lieu of same to Marie Curie, Coleraine Yacht Club and RNLI.

Marian, Joseph, Tamara, Terri-Ann and the family circle of the late Bertha R.I.P. wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathized with them in their recent sad bereavement.

A special thanks to the Doctors and nursing staff of the Cancer Centre Belfast City Hospital, Altnagelvin Hospital, Killowen Health Centre who were all so kind to Bertha in the last months of her illness.

A special thank you to Fr. Neil Farren P.P. for officiating at her funeral and graveside serve. Thanks to all those who called at the house, attended the funeral, sent mass and sympathy cards, gave donations in lieu of flowers or who helped in any way.

To Mark Crosgrove & Pauline Mullan for providing the beautiful music, to Wishy Drain who prepared the grave and to Dempsey Funeral Directors, Kilrea especially Mairead & Brian for the professional and dignified way they carried out the funeral arrangements.

𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒂 𝑩𝒐𝒚𝒍𝒆

Brian, Conor, Maeve, Maelisa, Eimear and the entire Boyle and Mallon family circle would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all who offered condolences and support following the recent bereavement of Brona. We are deeply grateful to extended family, friends and neighbours who offered their support and kindness, particularly those who called to the house, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, those who gathered along the route to the church and attended the wake and funeral. The generosity from all throughout and in the days that followed helped us through this difficult time.

A special word of thanks to the doctors and nurses of Kilrea Health Centre, McCloy’s Pharmacy, Antrim Area Hospital, Laurel House and especially the A1 ward who provided exceptional care to Brona during her final few weeks. We truly appreciate all the care and support shown during this time.

We want to convey our gratitude to those who brought food to the family home and helped out at the wake and to those who donated generously to MacMillan in memory of Brona. Your generosity and presence were a great comfort.

We extend our sincere thanks to Fr Chris McDermott for his spiritual support and for conducting a beautiful Requiem Mass. The touching eulogy was a fitting tribute to the love and respect in which Brona was held in the community and beyond. We are very thankful to all involved in Brona’s funeral service, including the sacristan’s, Bronagh Etherson our eucharistic minister, Anne Campbell and Eoin Cunning for providing the music and Brona’s sister Maelisa and niece Niamh for their uplifting musical contribution.

A particular word of thanks to Wishy Drain, who prepared Brona’s final resting place and to the Marian Hall for their warm welcome and providing refreshments after the funeral.

We would also express our sincere gratitude to Dempsey’s Funeral Directors especially Brian and Mairead for the professional, compassionate and dedicated manner in which they carried out all aspects of the funeral arrangements. Your personal attention and empathy meant a great deal to us.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
