All GP Practices, most dentists and community pharmacies have public holiday closures on Friday 19 September and Monday 22 September. Some community pharmacies will remain open during this period and can answer questions on choosing and using the right medicine and provide advice on treating everyday ailments. NHS 24 also has a number of pharmacists who are able to answer medicine and pharmacy-related questions over the telephone on 111.

Learn more about the reality of managing a chronic pain condition that has persisted for longer than 3 months, on our website at https://www.nhsaaa.net/pain-management-service/.

Psychologist Tamar Pincus talks about accepting chronic pain as a long-term condition and why patients who understand this are able to manage and live with their pain better.
