Before ➡️ After 🐾✨

This client was diagnosed with left medial shoulder instability, and the images show a clear improvement in weight distribution following a structured rehab programme — objectively measured using the Companion Animal Health Stance Analyser. A ‘healthy’ dog should distribute 60% of its weight evenly across the forelimbs, and 40% evenly across the hindlimbs, and I am really pleased with the results in this case!

Rebuilding strength, stability and confidence takes time, consistency, and teamwork.

Seeing these measurable changes alongside the dog’s comfort and movement improving is exactly why evidence-based physio matters 💪🐶

Huge credit to a dedicated owner and one very good patient 💛

I am delighted to announce that I’ve been selected as a finalist for the Animal Star Awards – Physiotherapist of the Year, for the second year in a row! 💜

This honestly wouldn’t be possible without the incredible clients who trust me, the amazing vets and professionals I work alongside, and of course the wonderful animals who make this job such a privilege every single day.

Thank you for your continued support, belief, and for letting me be part of your animal’s journey. Being recognised like this means more than I can put into words 💜

🐶 Progress post – 8 weeks of physio makes a difference! 💪✨

I often talk to owners about even weight distribution. In a healthy 4-legged dog, we expect around 60% of weight through the forelimbs and 40% through the hindlimbs.
But what happens when a dog is on three legs?

After losing her right hind limb due to a chronic wound infection, this clever girl had no choice but to shift her weight forward and across. The result? Significant overload through the left forelimb, which started to cause problems in that elbow (see before pics 👀)

🔍 Physio focus:
Instead of letting the left fore do all the work, we implemented targeted physiotherapy to strengthen the right forelimb, improve core stability, and encourage a more balanced tripod stance.

➡️ 8 weeks later:
She’s standing and moving much more evenly, reducing strain on that left elbow and setting her up for long-term soundness 🐾

✨ A great reminder that consistent physio exercises really do matter!
