A gentle reminder that when you’re feeling down or helpless - it’s not permanent. Allow yourself to sit with the feelings, but they will pass.

Therapy is a great space to process what you’re experiencing.

You don’t have to feel it alone.

☀️

How nice is it to have some blue skies and sunshine? It feels like it’s been a long, dark and wet winter and the brighter days definitely help to lift your mood. For me, I love being able to be outdoors more and appreciate the nature and wildlife around us.

Apologies for the silence on my page, 2026 has been very busy! I am now tutoring counselling and it’s been lovely to be on the other side of learning these skills.

If anyone is interested in any counselling courses, please feel free to get in touch and I’ll point you in the right direction.

In terms of my private practice, spaces are minimal and very limited but I’ll always recommend to get in touch as things are always changing.

I hope everyone has a lovely week 🌺

Just because it’s a new year, it doesn’t mean you can or have to change over night, it doesn’t mean that what you’ve experienced this past year is irrelevant now.

It’s a great time to reflect, to grow and to think about what you’d like to achieve in 2026.

I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year.

Believe in yourself, accept yourself and things will start to change 💫

It’s an absolute honour to work with each and every one of you, my role will always be a passion extremely close to my heart and I’m so lucky that I get to enjoy my job so much.

Please keep yourselves and others safe over the festive period.

If you would like to get in touch or are interested in starting your counselling journey in 2026, please get in touch as I will be checking socials and emails over the Christmas break.

A very Merry Christmas to you all, Amber🎄

Whilst Christmas may be a time of safety and fun for some, for others it can be isolating, scary and unsafe.

Here are some signs that you might be in an abusive relationship -

🚩 isolated from friends and family, your partner doesn’t like you being around other people or communicating with other people

🚩 love bombing one moment and giving you silent treatment the next, you may feel like you’re treating on eggshells or worried about what mood they might come home in

🚩 they have been physically aggressive towards you. This could involve hitting, kicking, biting, slapping. NONE OF THESE ARE ACCEPTABLE.

🚩 they dismiss you constantly when you try to explain to them how you are feeling about their behaviour or actions, they may even tell you it’s your own fault and you are the one who ends up taking accountability or apologising

These are just some of the red flags that you might be in an abusive relationship. Abuse isn’t always physical, it can be emotional, psychological, financial or sexual. You are not alone and support is out there.

You can get support from the police - calling 101 or 999 if it’s a life threatening emergency
