QEH nurse awarded for ‘kind and compassionate’ end-of-life care

Last week, Geminick Siriban, a nurse who specialises in end-of-live care was the proud recipient of The QEH’s latest Outstanding Achievement to Living our Values Award.

The nomination said:
“Gem was the nurse in charge of Peddars Way on the day that my Nan was moved to end-of-life care. Gem was kind, caring, compassionate and took the time to explain everything. The level of care that Nan received whilst on Peddars Way was on another level.

Gem, who has been a nurse at The QEH for five years, joined in 2020 from the Philippines. Gem said: “This award is for my parents and family in the Philippines, my King’s Lynn family, and my Peddars Way team whom I always get inspiration and motivation from.”
