We'd like to say a huge congratulations to The League of Friends charity who are a finalist for Your Local Hero Awards' "Community Champion/Group of the Year" award. The League of Friends is a registered charity who have been running since 1953. In that time a willing band of volunteers, including those who staff the League of Friends Shop in the QEH’s main entrance, have tirelessly raised millions of pounds which have been spend on essential equipment for the hospital.
