We would like to thank all the people that have donated to the donkeys
With your kind donations we have made the fields safer place for the donkeys and volunteers and visitors
Last year was awful and so dangerous
We have now replaced mats in the stables .got outside matting and astro turf and this week josh has fitted this down and the donkeys love it Hoping to have everything finished this week
We could not have done this without you.
Also this week our charity application will be going in and we hope tbis goes through
This will hopefully make sure the donkeys will be safe secure for life.
I have worked so hard past 15 years to give donkeys a good safe cared for life
I want this to proceed for them to live happy

We would like to let everyone know we have found a.barn
T j C Livery. PENTNEY
Have kindly allowed us to use part of tbe barn so we can carryon all our activities with the donkeys
We will start with one day per week and see how this goes
Hopefully we be doing meet tbe donkeys at Christmas events
Grooming walking and getting the donkeys dressed for Christmas
It will be nice under cover
We sad we not allowed to have our own building and hold events in little massingham
but we so pleased that we had this wonderful offer
Our donkeys Will still be living at there long term safe home in little massingham
We look forward to our new venture at Pentney
We keep you posted.

We would like to say a massive thankyou to all the people that helped us so much in donating to the donkeys
We have been able to purchase new stable matting. Mats to stop the mud and covered areas in astro turf which now is used alot in equestrian as stops the mud areas
So thanks to josh that has worked so hard on his own lifting all these heavy matting and turf
Worked tirelessly this week .
Without you all we could not have made this safe for the winter for our donkeys
Last year was horrendous it was bad for tbe donkeys and volunteers and I had fell face first about three times .

I started with donkeys 15 years ago starting with 2 as pets for my grandson
over the years I have added by taking in donkeys that were in bad conditions and needed care This changed my life and dedicate my life to my donkeys
I have self funded for many years at considerable cost financially
Many years ago I started taking the donkeys into the hospice soon as it opened and still do and help as much as we can
then I went to a carehome of my friend I realised the joy they brought so many
we help local events in the areas
we purchased a van not posh but adequate
so we could go further out with our lovely donkeys
we have very high insurance costs to do all this and require council licence last year we took in extra donkeys requiring high vet bills
we now have 11 donkeys in our care plus pet pony
we have to work very hard to keep everything running and I now am 71years old and often doing 4 long walks a day with people from all over the country that travel to walk our donkeys which helps give me funds to do all we do to help people
it’s so enjoyable to see peoples faces
we have so many that want to come see the donkeys to help with the wellbeing
many will tell you how much better they feel once with the donkeys
we are trying to raise funds for mud mats for the field as it’s very dangerous also to try to rent a barn two days a week so we can carryon with the donkey therapy through the winter months
we are very restricted as we are not allowed any building to do this in due to council or hold any events at the field
we know so many people still need our help and our donkeys love people
our resources are stretched to limit now and the walks will be too cold for people
so we can rent in nearby village premises but at the moment we have not got funds we can spare as our donkeys welfare has to come first
we are now in the process of obtaining charity status
This is to help secure the future of the donkeys long term care
I hope to go on as long as possible but we take every day as it comes
we have to keep proving we can take. £5000 each year
I walked so much from last June 2024 up until now to raise that money , we need a way of helping people we do lots with mental health
if we had the premises we have been asked to do more as the work we have done to improve people life the past years has been amazing
any help towards our donkeys mud mats as last year we were able to get some but need more
also to be able to rent a barn two days a week to carryon doing our wellbeing with donkeys
Our donkeys Will be staying home at little Massingham
just we need somewhere they can do wellbeing with people
we are so restricted by the councils locally.

We are looking for people that may like to come along to have a chat about helping us at events in the week .People who would be able to help longterm and have checks done to go into carehomes and schools .
This week due to myself and volunteer being ill we have had to.cancel which we hate doing letting people down
With having no one else to turn to we could do nothing else .
So would be nice to have volunteers We could call on .many of our volunteers still work so unable to help

We do alot of charity work however do have to subsidise all our expenses by other events
Donkeys are mainly rescued and now going into charity status to help them in long term care

Donkeys had a full day a nice donkey walk with a family birthday
Then gt massingham.village hall helping to suport the playground comitee
Very popular June. Barbara and Beryle The donkeys and kimmy and Ruby the mini ponies.
All back to the field for a nice feed of hay
