It is with a heavy heart and lots of long and thought searching hours I wish to announce that I will be retiring as Registered Manager of Winchley Home at the end of this year. This decision did not come easily and after just over 40 years of service to Winchley it will leave a big void in our lives as we have always been like one big extended family.

I am not sure where all the years have gone but they do say time flies when you’re having fun, and there certainly has been lots of fun and often mischievous times which helps us through those sad times.

From residents to families to staff and professionals I have had the pleasure to meet I thank you it’s been an honour to care for your loved ones and work with some very special people.

A very big heartfelt thank you to my husband Peter and all my family as without you I could not have done this often difficult role without you and all your support xx

Finally thank you to everyone for their kind wishes and gifts which we have been truly overwhelmed with which makes this parting harder than ever please accept our Best Wishes for Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year

This is not a Goodbye it’s “au revoir”

We have a very talented family member to one of our residents who kindly made these beautiful Christmas cards. We will be selling them for £2.50 each and all the proceeds raised will go towards our residents amenity fund. They are A5 size with envelopes and a blank insert so you can put your own words which have a personal meaning. If you would like to purchase any please let me know and I can show you the collection. Thank you Denise for your kindness and hard work in crafting these beautiful cards 🥰 x
