Please join us in welcoming Suzanne to the team!

Suzanne recently joined our King's Lynn branch as our audiologist, bringing a wealth of experience and a wonderful manner with her patients. Call today to book in for a free hearing test with her, and she will walk you through the results in person. Here is a little bit about Suzanne:

I have been qualified as an Audiologist since 2002 and really love my job of helping those with a hearing problem. I have developed a hearing loss myself over the years since qualifying, so I can relate to the benefits and journey of wearing hearing aids. I was originally based in Surrey and moved up to Lincolnshire 15 years ago to enjoy and be with my two beautiful granddaughters. In my spare time I can be found in my garden or doing handicrafts, including making traditional teddy bears.

Our Finance Director Anne-Marie is taking on another Ultra Challenge in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People!

On June 22nd she and her sister will be walking 100km around the Cotswolds for this fantastic cause.

She has set a challenge to raise £1000 for the charity. Any donation, any size would be truly appreciated and 100% of it will go towards making a real difference to people's lives.

Good luck to you both!

A lovely, helpful blog here from AIHHP.org discussing why small, independent hearing clinics are often a better choice than big stores. Independent clinics know you better, offer more personal care, and really understand the hearing aids they work with.

Highlighting many of the reasons we love being an independent👂🥰

Take a look at the advantages of using independent hearing clinics and relying on local audiologists for your ear care.

Are you or someone you know unsure about your hearing?

Sound Advice Open Events are the perfect opportunity to discuss things, in confidence, with a professional audiologist. Not only can you have a free hearing test and discussion of the results, you can trial the latest aids - for free - with no obligation.

Being independent means working with a range of leading manufacturers - meaning we can find the right aid and technology for you and your lifestyle.

The Open Events are a great time to save too, with savings available across all hearing aids!

Coming soon to our Southport, Wi******er and Hull branches.

As, like us here at SAH, I am sure you are all increasingly looking forward to the next few weeks as we see more of the sun so we can leave this wet winter behind us. ☀️

Someone who is probably even more excited than us is Sound Advice Hearing - CRT33 Racing team! After last year's debut, Connor will be returning to the track competitively later this spring and will be looking forward to some dry track time ahead of the season.

We are all behind you Connor! Can't wait for all your updates.

17 February 2024 Conor Rossi Thomson will return to the Pirelli National Superstock Championship this season, teaming up with Sound Advice Hearing for the forthcoming campaign. Thomson and SAH are keen to build on their experience from last season when he debuted in the Championship, combined with r...

The rise in online gaming with headsets means that children are exposed to much higher decibels than they should be and for much longer, meaning they are risking damage to their hearing.

This is a great article highlighting the research that has gone into the risk of damage - not just for those gaming, but for those who wear headphones regularly for music too.

An important message to share.

A new review of available evidence suggests video gamers regularly exceed safe sound limits.

As a proud supporter and sponsor of Sound Advice Hearing - CRT33 Racing team it brought many smiles to the team to receive this book from Connor. Full of great pictures from his races last year it has got us all talking about the season ahead.

We recently had an enquiry from someone who reached out to us to ask about ADP - Auditory Processing Disorder. Always keen to help where we can, Paul provided lots of useful information to the enquirer. It then inspired this blog which is now available on our website:

Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) is a condition that affects an individual’s ability to comprehend and interpret auditory information. While individuals with APD may have normal hearing, they struggle to interpret and make sense of the sounds they hear. This can lead to difficulties in various a...

Our MD, Paul, is the Chairman of AIHHP.org - a professional association dedicated to promoting excellence within the UK Hearing Care profession.

At the annual expo, some of our team got together to meet with other independent audiologists and the manufacturers, as well as show their support for Paul.

Our industry is always learning, sharing experiences and advancing, making sure technology moves with our lifestyles, and that we provide what people desire.

Exciting times ahead for the industry!

As an independent audiologist, we aren't limited to just one brand.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to hearing aids these days. Because all our daily lives and requirements are different.

This is why that time with a hearing care professional to discuss your lifestyle is so important, so they can best prescribe what works best for you.

Our friends over at Signia have put together this handy blog with some great advice.

https://www.signia.net/en-gb/blog/global/2022-09-buying-hearing-aids/

If you've recently been diagnosed with hearing loss, you might be considering hearing aids as an avenue of treatment. Here's a guide on hearing aids, amplifiers, and hearing care professionals.

We are proud to sponsor Connor Thomson Racing who races in the Pirelli National Superstock Championship.

It was a big weekend at Cadwell Park for him last week. And with Cadwell being the home circuit for our Lincolnshire head office, it was only right some of the Sound Advice team went to support him.

Anne-Marie had a great time in the pits - Look at that smile!

Connor - The bike looks great. Thanks for a great weekend!

It's not just about the branding on the bike. We provide his custom hearing protection too. So don't forget, it isn't just about hearing aids, it is about protecting your hearing in noisy environments too!

Neil Kirby is our local audiologist here at our King's Lynn branch.

2023 marks 20 years in audiology for Neil.

"I initially qualified as an electronics engineer, working in the Middle East, BAA at Heathrow and Thorn-EMI for the RAF. I also worked as a Sales Director for a number of companies before deciding on a career change, and after retraining, qualified as an Audiologist in 2003. Since those early years I have had a mix of working within the private sector as well as the NHS. I was born in Norfolk and consider myself 'Normal for Norfolk'! I like scuba diving and clay pigeon shooting, but not at the same time!"
