A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our Red Nose Day celebrations! From wearing red to going all out in fantastic (and funny!) costumes, you’ve helped make the day truly special while supporting a wonderful cause.

As part of Nutrition & Hydration Week, our residents and staff enjoyed a fun “Guess the Food & Drink” challenge! 🥕🥤🍓

Blindfolded and using their senses of smell, touch, and taste, everyone had a go at identifying a variety of foods and drinks… with some very surprising guesses and lots of laughter along the way 😄

It was a fantastic activity to highlight the importance of good nutrition and staying hydrated, while bringing smiles, conversation, and a little friendly competition to the day 💛

☘️ A wonderful St Patrick’s Day celebration at Goodwins Hall! ☘️

Our residents enjoyed a fantastic day celebrating St Patrick’s Day filled with music, laughter, and great company. 🎶💚🍀

We were delighted to welcome John Robert, who performed for our residents and had everyone smiling, singing along, and enjoying the wonderful atmosphere. 🎤😊

To make the day even more special, we opened The Muntjac Retreat, where residents enjoyed some delicious Irish liqueur and shared the festive spirit together. 🍹🍀

It truly was a brilliant day and a lovely celebration for everyone! ☘️

🌸 Mother’s Day Celebrations at Goodwins Hall! 🌸

What a lovely day we had celebrating Mother’s Day at Goodwins Hall! Our residents started the morning with beautiful flowers, bringing plenty of smiles and a wonderful start to the day. 💐

In the afternoon, we welcomed families and loved ones for a fantastic afternoon tea. The home was full of laughter, chatter, and delicious treats as everyone spent quality time together.

It was such a joyful and lively atmosphere, and so special to see residents surrounded by the people who mean the most to them. A truly heartwarming day for everyone involved! 💕

🍀 Goodwins Activity Series: Cooking Club 🍞

Residents came along to the library to join their fellow residents for our Cooking Club. We made traditional Irish soda bread, perfect as we look forward to St Patrick’s Day!

Wearing aprons and gloves, residents carefully added the ingredients into the bowl and mixed them together to form the dough.

Once it was ready, they kneaded the mixture into shape, forming a ball before cutting a cross into the top, ready for it to be baked in the kitchen.

After clearing away, everyone enjoyed a relaxing cup of tea together and a chat ☕

A lovely activity filled with teamwork, conversation, and the delicious smell of freshly made bread 🍞😊

💜📸 Throwback Thursday! 📸💜

Last month, our residents enjoyed a fantastic trip to Alive St James Pool in King's Lynn to cheer on our amazing Goodwins team at the Swimathon! 🏊 ✨

They truly gave it their full energy, cheering, clapping, and supporting every length with so much enthusiasm and pride 📣

The atmosphere was incredible, and the smiles said it all!
It's been lovely to reminisce about such a special day - and we're already looking forward to the next one! 🙌🏻

Congratulations, Christine!

We are delighted to recognise Christine, our Head Chef, as our Employee of the Month for January. Christine brings a big smile and wonderful positivity to Goodwins Hall. She is always on the go, working hard to ensure our residents are well catered for and enjoy delicious, nourishing meals.

Christine supports the whole Goodwins team and makes sure everyone is well looked after. She also plays a huge part in our events, putting great effort into preparing fantastic food for residents, relatives, and visitors to enjoy together, helping to create a warm and memorable experience for everyone.

🏆 We are incredibly proud to share some wonderful news!

Goodwins Hall Care Home is delighted to have won the Customer Care Award at the King’s Lynn Mayor’s Business Awards!

This is a fantastic achievement for our whole team and a true reflection of the dedication, compassion and kindness our staff show every single day to our residents and their families.

We are also very proud to have been finalists in the Environmental Champion category, which was a very competitive category. Being recognised in two categories is a wonderful achievement for our home.

Providing outstanding care and creating a warm, supportive environment for our residents is always our top priority, and it means so much to be recognised for the work we do.

A huge thank you to our amazing team, wonderful residents and supportive families who make Goodwins Hall such a special place. This award belongs to all of you! 💙
