A bit about Sarah Hardings why....

'I have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember & over the years I’ve just got bigger and bigger.
I was pretty fed up of feeling like the β€œfat friend” but a big wake up call was taking my children to soft play and not being able to keep up with them, and my joints were killing me & I was out of breathe!

2 weeks into lockdown I hit rock bottom and started to research weight loss surgery. I started talks with the doctor, watched documentaries & joined FB support groups. Before I fully committed to the surgery which can be dangerous, painful & mean there are some foods I would never be able to eat again, I decided to give The 1:1 Diet one last try.

I did the diet a few years ago & I lasted about 10 days. When I think about it I wasn’t ready back then, I didn’t want it enough!

⭐ You have to want it enough to change. ⭐

I started my journey in May and I didn’t think I would be standing here today nearly 3.5 stone lighter. I thought I’d give up after a few days like I had in the past - I underestimated myself!

If I can do it then ANYONE can!'

Thank you to Sarah and her consultant Sandra for sharing her story!

Message from a slimmer πŸ‘‡

Hi guys πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ I originally lost 2st in 2months back in 2016 and maintained for 2.5years until falling pregnant with my little boy in December 2018. I gained quite a lot of weight during my pregnancy, losing a total of 3.5stone by the time I was 9months postpartum πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸŽ‰ (I breastfed for the first 6months so didn’t go on plan properly until after then) xx

Let me support your journey drop me a message below or private alternative contact 07740314590 Zigi xx

πŸ’™Why weight matters when it comes to joint pain πŸ’™

If you're having the occasional twinge of joint pain when you go for a walk or climb stairs, or you're worried about arthritis because a parent had it, one step toward prevention is to check your weight.

There are two ways that being overweight raises your risk for developing osteoarthritis (the most common joint disorder, which is due to wear and tear on a joint). First, excess weight puts additional stress on weight-bearing joints (the knee, for example). Second, inflammatory factors associated with weight gain might contribute to trouble in other joints (for example, the hands).

When you walk across level ground, the force on your knees is the equivalent of 1Β½ times your body weight. That means a 200-pound man will put 300 pounds of pressure on his knees with each step. Add an incline, and the pressure is even greater: the force on each knee is two to three times your body weight when you go up and down stairs, and four to five times your body weight when you squat to tie a shoelace or pick up an item you dropped.

Losing a few pounds can go a long way toward reducing the pressure on your knees β€” and protecting them.

For example, research has proven that a sustained 10- to 15-pound weight loss in obese young people can translate to a much lower risk of osteoarthritis later in life.

Get in touch with me today to start your journey to a healthier, slimmer you!

Thank you🌹
