Well done to Helen Moore, Senior Supervisor in Catering for receiving a Living Our Values nomination.

Her nomination reads: “I had rung the kitchen on this particular day to ask for a plain omelette for the evening time for a patient who has been on low fat diet. Not something usually available on the menu. Coming up to supper time I had gone to give the patient their meal and he had got not one but two plain omelettes after Helen had gone through the different options. I feel Helen should be recognised for this nomination as she went out of her way for this matter out of kindness and demonstrated living our values!”

Wednesday 6 August was National Play Day and our Rudham Ward Play Specialist Team celebrated the occasion with the children and young people on the ward by enjoying having fun with the toys and activities on the ward.

Playday is a national event that celebrates children's right to play and emphasises the vital role of play in their development and wellbeing.

Play also helps children cope with fear, pain, and anxiety, and can aid in their understanding and recovery. Play with parents, siblings, family, and the play team can support developmental play, emotional and therapeutic play, procedural play, psychological play and medical play.

Helping older people stay safe and independent at home
A powerful new project from is helping reduce the risk of falls in people aged 65+, especially in rural areas like Long Sutton and South East Lincolnshire.
The ‘Falling through the cracks’ project – led by our very own Sithara Thundathil Sunny Joseph – combines patient stories, research and frontline insights to improve care and support across the region.
Findings are already helping shape better access to services like:
✔ Routine falls risk assessments
✔ Strength and balance classes close to home
✔ Accessible information – both digital and non-digital
We’re proud to be leading this important work to keep our older residents safe and well.
