Mid Stage Hamstring Rehab With
Following a high grade hamstring injury, these are some of the exercises we’ve been using towards the end of the mid stage of rehab.
The focus at this point is building strength and control in positions that will carry over to running and higher speed work.
Our main targets here are:
▪️ Bias the lateral hamstring
▪️ Start sub maximal eccentric loading
▪️ Introduce early rate of force development
▪️ Establish strong technique on key exercises like Nordics
All of this is preparing the hamstrings for the demands of running at higher speeds.
Exercises:
▪️ GHR With Rotational Throw
▪️ Bridge Transfers
▪️ Assisted Nordics
▪️ Sprinter Curls
▪️ Split Stance Romanian Deadlift With Banded Pull
This is where we start to shift from basic strength into more specific, performance based loading.
