I specialise in helping animals and people overcome a variety of physical and emotional issues through the use of reiki. Reiki means 'universal energy’, it’s a holistic healing method that originates in Japan and is a gentle, natural energy that animals are very open to. Animals naturally pick up on energies around them and can often sense what you are feeling. Has your pet ever come and put their
head or paw on you or leant on you if you felt sad? Then they have read your energy and being naturally empathic will want to comfort you. Because animals are open to energy, they let the beautiful Reiki energy flow through them, releasing trapped energy and healing as it does. In the first consultation, I will take some history from you, let your pet get used to me and give them a shorter Reiki treatment. Reiki can be given hands on or off, your pet will let me know which they like best. Any communication I receive from your pet I will pass on to you to help. Please allow 1 and 1/2 hours for the initial consultation (£20) and up to 2 and 1/2 hours for the full consultations (£40 each) thereafter. I treat pets in their own environment to make them feel as comfortable as possible. With my professional experience as a Veterinary Nurse, I'm able to blend my practical knowledge of animals with Reiki to help in the healing process. Reiki is not a replacement for veterinary treatment and medicine, but aids as a complement to it and can help reduce any side effects of such treatment.
* If an animal has gone through changes at home, experienced trauma of some kind or has had a bad experience through mishandling, the energy of the trauma is stored in the physical body and can manifest in physical health problems or behavioural problems, such as destructive behaviour, urinating in the home and fear-based aggression in dogs. After medical conditions have been ruled out by a Veterinary Surgeon, Reiki, blended with animal communication, can help with these issues or even stop them.
* Reiki is also lovely for pets that have come from a rescue background where their history is unknown and can help them settle in to a new home.
* Reiki can be given to pets coming to the end of their lives, it's a beautiful energy for them and gives you and your pet a sense of peace and comfort.
* Highly-strung, nervous or anxious animals really benefit from Reiki, it gives a great sense of relaxation and stress-reduction allowing the body and mind to heal, and over a period of time, can make the animal less nervous.
