Norton Brook Medical Centre - Caretaker/Handyperson
Part-time, flexible hours
Are you experienced in building maintenance and have practical handyperson skills? Do you enjoy working as part of a great team, as well as being happy to work on your own initiative? We would love to hear from you.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Caretaker/Handyperson to join our team based at Norton Brook Medical Centre.
You will help us ensure that the surgery premises are well maintained and operational, i.e. heating, lighting, plumbing, electrical equipment and fire equipment with testing, monitoring, working with contractors where required and managing minor improvement projects. You will help us keep the premises safe for our patients and the wider surgery team.
We are a friendly, supportive team where your contributions will be highly valued and you will have the necessary support to get the job done.
This is a part-time position, approximately 12 hours per week; hours and days of work are flexible depending on the person appointed but will include some evening and weekend working as necessary. Pay is negotiable depending on skills, qualifications and experience. Driving licence and own vehicle preferred, 25 days annual leave + eight days Bank Holidays (pro-rata to hours worked) NHS pension, NHS retail discounts and Cycle to Work Scheme.
Our culture and values seek to place our staff and patients at the heart of everything we do. We celebrate diversity and we work hard to create an inclusive environment where people love to work and can fulfil their potential. We would encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible as we may close vacancies early should we receive a high number of applications.
