It’s that time of the year when our thoughts turn to remembrance.
Although being busy we have found time to renovate two war memorials.
The first to be completed is the memorial at Sherford Church.

So our fleet has expanded, today we had delivered our new vehicle, a Ford Hearsette. The handover was completed by Tim Ocean from and we would like to thank them for their excellent service throughout.

We recently donated a few hours to assist with tidying the entrance to Dodbrooke church.Difficult at times keep the local churchyards tidy but we are always happy to try and help the local community.

On Monday we held a lovely funeral service in our service chapel here at Kingsbridge Funeral Directors for a much loved local gentleman. His family chose this amazing goldfish floral tribute superbly made by Lisa at Studio Flowers in Churchstow.

We recently carried out a funeral at the lovely Buckland Tout Saints parish church. The funeral was for a gentleman who was not only a greatly loved father and grandfather but a decorated war hero. It was an honour and privilege to be asked to carry out the funeral.

On May 8th 1945 after 6 years of war and suffering. Europe united in both joy and sorrow, joy that war was over, sorrow for those brave souls that were not to return home to celebrate.
As hostilities ended and the guns fell silent a new era commenced of peace and hope.
Today we remember those that gave their all for us in hope that we should never see the dark days of war again and to celebrate what they achieved for us.
