The 💚 of Beltane

Sacred union, and rituals a plenty.

Wild wood forage, savouring evening aromas, snap and crack of twig underfoot, buzz of bee upon the bluebells, sunset nectar heady and sweet, shriek of crow, and startle of blackbird, she or I….

And now to light the fire, and bury a wish at the base of a tree. 🤫

May 1st: the height of Spring.
Beltane honours the sacred union of the divine masculine and the blooming feminine- a meeting where creation begins to breathe.

Blossoms burst, sap rises, and the land moans with life, the air hums with fire, and the earth drinks sun.

This is not just a celebration, it is a sacred union. ☯️

In the spotlight 💚

Some more greenery for the little square boxes on the insta grid, 3 in a row (which of course will soon slip out of order, quite like life really, hey ho) however, at least for now, it settles my inner OCD demons 🤪😬 I’m pretty ok with the slip slide phase to be fair, roll with it she’s reminds herself 🫡

Cleaves, aka sticky w***y, I mean that’s just an excellent wild plant, w**d name, if ever there was one, plenty of other names for this but these are the two I remember.

Sat in one single ray of light on my evening walk this week, just stunning (more in person than in the photo obvs, they always are) but we’ve probably all had moments like that, where the beauty of nature is there for a moment & not the next, I feel like it’s my duty to stop & acknowledge the moment, a single moment of magic. ✨

Like a single actor on a stage or in a group, where the lighting technician is shining the beam of light directly on that one singular person.

This weekends forage will be this, I’m in the mood for making tinctures to extend the shelf life of this useful & abundant spring green 💚

A journey through the seasons is never dull, uninteresting, or uninspiring when you have ‘friends’ in your life! aka plant friends 😉💚🌱

Watch the flowers grow 😌

Last week was ‘International Plant Appreciation Day’ quite frankly I don’t need an excuse to take some time out to appreciate these beautiful green oxygen machines.

Fills my heart with joy and calm, and imparts such a ‘feel good inside’ state of being.

Thank you wild abundant wilderness and Mother Nature, I quite simply couldn’t enjoy life without out you in all your magnificent guises, I appreciate you 365 days of the year! Come rain or shine, throughout all of the seasons. 🙏🏻🥰

Tonight’s almost full moon 🌕

No FNY (Friday Night Yoga) this week🧘‍♀️

Ina is away channeling her inner Maria in Austria 🎶 I on the other hand am off to the big smoke to channel my inner child for the night 🤩🤸‍♀️🥳🪇🎠🎉🃏it won’t be too difficult!! 😜🤹🏻‍♀️

In our absence dearly bereft FNYogis, take some time to sit back, settle into all that is, breathe, revel… perhaps even dance a little, or indeed offer a moon salutation or 12…. just simply delight and bask under the light and energy of this months full moon 🌝🤍☯️
