This morning we were entertained by our lovely Laura (Everysing) with her set list of "Summertime" themed songs. We had a good sing along and a little bit of chair dancing. Those who joined in enjoyed themselves 🌞🎶🎤
We will be seeing Laura again next month with her "Country & Western" themed song list. Hopefully some staff will join in with some line dancing.

And this afternoon, Stella (we call her the music lady) came and we had a lovely "Music For Health" session of singing along to old songs while being conductors, shaking our tambourines, bells and maracas, and waving our pom poms around.
This is something that everyone who attended always seems to enjoy 🎤🎶🎼🎵💜

We've had a busy day today!!!
This morning several residents and I started making our own crossword, (we need to finish it though) When its finished, I'll print it off and also attach it to the newsletter so other people can have a go and see if they can finish it 🔡✏️🧠

We've had another musical morning being entertained by the most wonderful Mike Scurfield. Every song he sang, the residents knew and sang along too, which is always so nice to see 🎶🎤💜

Our Annual Garden Party turned out perfect!!! ✨️
Lots of family and friends of Glendale Lodge turned up to join their loved ones 💜
We had a window of two hours with no rain or storms, only sunshine and warmth 🌞
Jasmine and Doug were able to entertain us 🎶🎤
We danced, we sang, we ate, we drank 🍔🍟🍾
We enjoyed each others company.

This morning we got all arty and crafty and let our imaginations run wild! Finishing off our Earth Day Activities with some colouring in. We had a small group, but we drank tea, did some colouring in, and spoke about all the Planet, Space, Astronauts and Rockets. A pleasant time had by all. We even tried some space food: Freeze Dried Chocolate Ice Cream, Freeze Dried Strawberries, and Popping Candy Cherry and Watermelon Flavours
