The verdict is in:
We made it up two peaks — Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough — and it was no small feat. The wind was wild, the climbs were tough, and just as we reached the checkpoint, the rain came down in full force.
With sore feet, aching knees, and the weather working against us, we had a difficult decision to make. The ground was getting slippery, and pushing on to the third peak would’ve meant risking a fall. As much as we wanted to finish the full challenge, we knew it was the right call to stop.
We covered 18 miles (30 km) and took 45,000 steps. It wasn’t the full three peaks, but it was everything we had in us on the day.
To everyone who supported us — thank you from the bottom of my heart. You were in my thoughts every step of the way. I feel a bit sad knowing we didn’t complete it, especially after all the encouragement, but please know we gave it everything we had.
We may not have finished the challenge this time, but we’re proud of how far we came. And we’ll be back to finish what we started.
Namaste 🙏🤗
