Heres my top tips that have helped me PB at my Parkrun 🏃‍♂️

1. Tiredness is a state of mind, contrary to what your Garmin watch tells you 😴

2. Have so much caffeine you contemplate staying at home on the toilet 😳

3. Maturing is realising Parkrun is not a race, but if you’re immature like me race every Saturday like your life depends on it 🤪

4. Train arms at least 3 times a week. This will allow you to push past people and get a good starting spot rather than being stuck behind a dog or a pram 💪

5. Spend too much money on running shoes and Lycra shorts. The more streamline the better, I’m considering going bold if I lose out on my PB by a few seconds again 👨‍🦲

6. A tiesto mix will have you pumped and hitting the right cadence 🫨

7. Make sure you have noise cancellation headphones to drown out your heavy breathing and help you tap into childhood trauma 🫠

8. Race whoever’s near you for the final 500m, if there is no one, imagine David Goggins shouting “who’s gonna carry the boats” 🥵

9. Enjoy your PB by eating a well deserved pizza 😋

10. If you didn’t PB, proceed to ruin the weekend for you and those around you, as misery loves company 🙃

My First Race 🏃‍♂️ Truro Half Marathon

So yesterday I took part in my first ever running race! 😱 I really enjoyed how hard it was, made harder by the fact I hadn’t trained specifically for this, signed up for it quite literally the day before, completed my Parkrun and 90mins of Football before heading to Truro to race the next day 😂

My goal recently is to challenge my mind and this provided that challenge! More hills than I was ready for, but that’s part of the fun and the struggle I’ve been looking forward to facing

My stats were:
- Chip Time 1:47:07
- Gun Time 1:47:46
- Overall Rank 120/467
- Gender Rank 107/280
- Age Group Rank 34/81

- Average Pace 5’03 /KM
- Average Heart Rate 170 BPM

The run was made better by making a weekend of it with ❤️ Was nice to see down there also ☺️

Looking forward to challenging myself more and seeing what I can achieve with Running and Performance based events 👊

Beach Shoot 😎

Putting my client James in the spotlight as he’s absolutely nailed his Beach Photoshoot, captured by the amazing .photography 👏

James had a goal to look good and wanted the accountability aspect of a Photoshoot, but rather than being inside a gym or on a stage, he wanted to be in nature where he loves to spend time with his dog 🐶

I absolutely love this! Because what’s more relatable than getting a beach body for Summer ☀️

I would love to help someone else with a similar goal! My availability currently is very limited, but I will do everything I can to help you if this is something that interests you ☺️

Here’s how to choose the right coach 👀

1️⃣ The Eye Test
- You wouldn’t go to a dentist with no teeth, just like you shouldn’t go to a Coach who doesn’t take care of themselves! Choose someone that you’d aspire to be like 🙌

2️⃣ Gut Feeling
- Does the conversation I’m having feel like the genuinely want to help me? A good way of working this out is ask for some free advice.. those that are genuine and care will help you regardless ☺️

3️⃣ Results Matter!
- You can buy into anything that’s difficult if you can see results! Choose someone with a greater understanding that you can learn from 🤓

4️⃣ Experience
- Those that have done it the longest, tend to know what they’re doing. There’s a reason they have been Coaching for a long time, most likely because they are good at it 💪

5️⃣ Tough Love
- The amount of times I’ve had clients say “I’m gonna do X Y Z” and I’m like “listen Linda.. this is what you need”. Sometimes you need that tough love, don’t choose someone who’s too weak to tell you the hard truths when needed 👊

6️⃣ Choose someone you get along with
- I can’t stay in the room with someone for 2 minutes if they are boring, or negative 😂 Some people are energy suckers, that just drain the life outta you 🙃🔫 You should come away from your session thinking “I enjoyed that” even if the session was tough, rather than thinking “I really don’t want to go to this session”

7️⃣ Choose the best!
- This sounds so obvious but rarely happens! You wouldn’t go to a s**t doctor for your health, before then going to a good one. But many people choose a s**t gym or a s**t coach first to try and gain confidence to go to the better environment. But you will learn s**t habits, surround yourself with uninspired people, just go for it! Challenge yourself and if the coach and the environment is best, it will rub off on you also 🙌

8️⃣ Now who should you choose?
- Obviously here’s where I should say me.. but the truth is, the world has many amazing coaches! There’s so many people wanting to help, just hurry up and choose, as every day you are either 1 step closer or 1 step further away from having a better life ☺️

Hyrox Simulation 🏃‍♂️

Paired up with my Online Client Dom to run through a Hyrox simulation, put on by .fitness and

I think we both have a similar mindset in regards to training, as we both wanted to do something that would just f**k us up 🤪

So no warm up, no preparation, no breakfast, no plan.. just get in and let’s suffer together.. (bad idea as we both was wanting to be sick after 2k 🤣 but weirdly that’s the kinda thing we was looking for 😂)

This event really helped my mentality as I’ve been finding everything easy and boring since my physique competition, this definitely sparked the fire in me to do some hard s**t again and find my inner savage 👊

Thanks to for the photos 👊

PCA Naturals Telford 2024

Back when I set this goal, I had 2 promises I made to myself..
- Don’t sacrifice any precious moments
- Don’t let this be all consuming of who I am

When I competed previously I found that I lost my personality to achieve what I wanted. Don’t get me wrong, no one ever achieved anything worthwhile without sacrifice, but I’m so lucky and appreciative with everything I have, I wouldn’t sacrifice any of it for the world

So my goal for this competition was to get in a shape I liked the look of and to not look out of place whilst competing in the biggest Natural Bodybuilding Event in the UK. Alongside being able to have a fun balanced life.

For me, I achieved this and more by being in the top 6 guys on stage and having a really enjoyable experience of “Competition Prep” and the day in general. I didn’t sacrifice a Sunday roast throughout the whole of prep and even 2 weeks before this I was eating 3 boxes of “Chicken George Fried Chicken” whilst watching Coldplay 😂

Obviously the inner competitive person in me would have loved to be #1, who wouldn’t want that? 🤷‍♂️ But this was not about that, this was about gaining experience, making mistakes, enjoying the process, having a balanced and fun life. Whilst learning along the journey which I coached myself through

Maybe 1 day I will want to push myself to that next level and compete for the top prize, but until then I will continue to appreciate the bigger picture of having a great physique that can mix it with the best, whilst having a great life balance

Overall I loved the journey, the day itself, the look I brought, the balance I had, just everything! I’m very thankful to all of you that helped me with your kind words and support, I couldn’t have done it without all of you! 🫶 Especially , you do so much for me every day and I’m so greatful for your love you show me and I wouldn’t be half the person I am without you ❤️

Until next time..
