The Om Studio

Owned and managed by Debbie who has been practising yoga since 1995 and qualified in 2001 with Friends Of Yoga ( FRYOG). The Om Studio is a purpose built yoga studio, situated in Kingsthorpe Northampton. The studio space holds a powerful presence as it is only used for Yoga Sound work Meditation Satsang and Creative inspired work Arts Writing movement practices and Dance. Debbie's passion is to share her understanding through the benefits that arise in letting go of physical and mental tension. Tension that unless explored holds one back in so many ways due to the discomfort it maybe creating. Awareness of body/ mind connection has a profound effect on the quality of life. We respond to the challenges life may present us with. It can be rather like a call and response In that moment, every seed of tension creates the picture of lifes reality. To find ones own truth in life changes everything .. Yoga is here to assist just that finding truth. It gives pointers in so many ways of how to follow wisely the road map of the body mind intermate relationship. Yoga allows this relationship to grow as we find through every growing awareness of awareness itself. You will find Debbie when she isnt teaching Yoga Singing Chanting Bhajans Writing short songs Praying Cooking which she shares with here life partner Andrew the love of making good food & Walking Ziggy there Jack russell dog.. spending as much precious time we can in portugal together a place closer than close to our heart. Yoga....
Debbies first grounding in yoga was Hatha Yoga she continues to develop new ways of exploring the bodies willingness to let go through movement & fluidity within postures. In search to Find the softening quality, which touches deep the place of inner strength. Yoga that gives opportunity to explore within the asana/postures themselves. As one moves into the softening, one leaves behind the dense muscle body, moving into the energy body and also the fluid bodies.
