Here at Kingsthorpe Funeralcare, we often see the impact of baby/infant loss and grief on families first hand.

The Wave of Light event is an opportunity to join with bereaved parents, families and friends around the world to commemorate all babies who sadly died too soon. It takes place at 7pm on 15 October every year, the last day of Baby Loss Awareness Week.

Our window display is a small token of helping to raise awareness for all of those affected by grief and loss surrounding babies, children and young people. You can also pop in to see us and light a candle in remembrance from Connor, our Funeral Arranger.

We are here to help, pop in, drop us an email or a call if you need any advice or support.

October is a busy month for charities, campaigns and many events. One such events is Black History Month - this years theme is "Standing Firm in Power and Pride".

Co-op values have always been steeped in equity and equality of opportunity for all. In order to cooperate for a fairer world, we need to stay aware of the inequalities that Black, Asian and minority ethnic groups face. This means making a conscious effort to help level the playing field, as individuals and as a co-operative. Not just during Black History Month, but on an ongoing basis.
