8 months ago, 'The Shed' was a pet supply store… now look at it. 💪🔥

What started as an idea has grown into a fully functioning strength & functional training facility built with one goal in mind, giving clients the best possible environment to train, improve and push themselves.

Every piece of equipment has been carefully chosen and invested in to make sure people have access to high-quality kit that delivers results. From strength training to functional fitness, The Shed is becoming exactly what I envisioned it to be.

Proud of how far this place has come in such a short space of time, and we’re only just getting started. 🚀

At Excel Health and Nutrition, you are supported by a highly qualified and experienced professional with a strong academic foundation and extensive real-world experience.

Qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and Exercise, alongside multiple Level 4 specialisms in Sports Nutrition, Obesity & Diabetes, and Cardiac Rehabilitation, as well as qualifications in Exercise Referral, Personal Training, Mental Health Awareness, Smoking Cessation, and Sports Coaching.

With over 8 years’ experience in health improvement within the NHS, combined with work in elite sporting environments including Hull KR, Hull FC, and York City Knights, experience spans elite and recreational athletes, Paralympic athletes, and marathon runners alike.

This depth of knowledge and experience ensures every client is guided with professionalism, safety, and evidence-based practice at the core of their journey

Our strength area has officially been dedicated as Jamie’s Corner.

Jamie was the very first person to walk through the doors at Excel Health & Nutrition. From day one, he showed up and he kept showing up every single week until his passing in 2024.

Jamie’s commitment, kindness, and quiet determination left a mark on all of us and we hope that seeing his name on the wall inspire all who walk through those doors 🙌

We all miss you mate 🙏
