Sometimes it can help a client/ yourselves if you have an understanding of how trauma can affect the brain.
Feedback I have had with my clients and with caregivers on assessments is by having a basic understanding of what is happening in the brain and why they or a loved one are having certain symptoms/triggers has been the start of the healing process.
