Recently, Tina & Michelle at A Shepherd & Sons Funeral Directors had the pleasure of spending time with residents at Redwood Glades Extra Care. 🌼

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon together planting Forget Me Nots, sharing tea, coffee, cakes and plenty of laughter along the way. It was wonderful to sit, chat and spend quality time with so many lovely people in the community.

Thank you to everyone at Redwood Glades for such a warm welcome — we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. 💙

Please help support this beautiful charity event in memory of Jasmine-Anna, raising funds for The Amelia-Mae Foundation to support children and families affected by neuroblastoma.

Recently, our Funeral Directors Tina & Glenn spent time at Cecil Gardens Extra Care, helping tenants pot up forget-me-nots and bedding plants for their apartments and memorial garden 🌼

Alongside tea, coffee, buns and plenty of conversation, it was a lovely afternoon bringing people together and supporting the local community.

Moments like these remind us how important companionship, kindness and community spirit really are, and we are proud to support the communities we serve 💙

On 6th May 2023, The coronation of Charles III and Camilla was held at Westminster Abbey.

The ceremony was attended by members of the royal family, various celebrities and honoured guests.

We simply cannot believe how fast time as flown and Charles has been King for three years.

As a way to celebrate, we’d like to invite local young people to get creative! 🎨

Simply draw or paint a picture of The King and drop it into our Cottingham Branch on Beck Bank, where our team will decide on a winner!
Please leave your contact details with our staff in case you’re the lucky one!! 🍀

The winner will receive a voucher for Smiths Toys and we will proudly display your creation in our offices on Hessle Road, Beverley Road, Holderness Road, and of course, Cottingham!

🌸 All Saints Church, North Ferriby 🌸
There are some places that offer a quiet sense of peace and reflection, and All Saints Church in North Ferriby is certainly one of them. Yesterday, the church looked particularly beautiful, with flowers adding colour, warmth and care to an already special setting.

All Saints Church has been at the heart of the village for generations. Worship has taken place on this site since medieval times, with the present church built in the mid‑19th century. It is now a Grade II listed building, recognised for its architectural and historic importance, and was designed by the respected Victorian architect John Loughborough Pearson.
