You may have seen in practice or have received a text about our 100km in May Challenge and we'd love you to join us!

Walking is one of the simplest ways of staying healthy and we've set up lots of walks throughout the month for patients to join our staff and increase their steps.

To reach the target of 100km in May, it's around 4500 steps a day - the NHS recommends between 7000-8000 daily, so 100km is a manageable target.

You can turn up to any of the below walks and to see where you are on the leaderboard with other people, download the StepUp app and use the QR code to join the HASP challenge leaderboard.

We'd love to see you there!

SEND parents....

If your child is waiting for an ADHD or Autism assessment, you can ask your GP to refer your child to a different provider (still NHS-funded) with much shorter waiting times.

Antibiotics do not work for problems such as colds and flu, which are caused by viruses.
Using antibiotics when they're not needed encourages harmful bacteria that live inside you to become resistant – also known as antimicrobial resistance.
That means that antibiotics may not work when you really need them.

Three steps we can all take to help prevent Antimicrobial Resistance:
• Protect yourself from infections, e.g. by getting vaccinated when eligible
• Only take antibiotics and other antimicrobials when prescribed
• Never share or use leftover antibiotics.

🦶🏼GET YOUR FEET OUT 🦶🏼

If you have a toothache, you would visit the dentist, if you had trouble with your vision then you would automatically call on an optician.

What about your feet? Many people ignore common foot complaints or indeed serious pain rather than go to see an expert.
We know that diabetes has an effect on blood glucose but many of us are unaware of the problems that it can cause for our feet.
-Dry skin (anhidrotic)
-Change in shape of the foot (extensor substitution)
-Hard skin
-Lack of sensation (neuropathy)
