This is essential reading for anyone who is pregant, has a baby or who knows anyone who has a baby!

Professor Helen Ball gives a clear and helpful explanation of how babies sleep, how we can help them and how parents need help... and spoiler alert... much of what we hear about babies and sleep isn't fact or evidenced based.

This lovely, warmly written book brings evidence-based reason and sensibility combined with practical advice to provide parents with everything they need to help them confidently – and sanely – navigate the first 365 night-times with a new baby.

And buying from the LLLGB Shop means you are helping to support LLLGB's work and support for breastfeeding.

Introducing your baby to other foods is a big milestone, and can be fun too. The simplest approach is to continue your usual breastfeeding pattern and let your baby join you at family mealtimes. Your baby will be able to learn about new foods gradually and in their own time. Our article gives information about introducing your baby to solid foods.

Jess tells us why she loved writing for Breastfeeding Matters - could you write your story, poem or thoughts?

“Sharing my poems in Breastfeeding Matters has been such a surreal experience, I've very rarely shared my work with anyone other than my poor mum! I've been able to read my poems aloud in our local meeting, it truly brought tears to my eyes and inspired me to go to an open mic event - thank you!

These images were taken to celebrate my 1000 days of breastfeeding in March. I feel so honoured to be able to share them with LLL. It is so wonderful to be able to submit and share your thoughts and I highly recommend sharing your stories too ❤"
