Meet our new Chief Operations Director: Stanley!
He’s spent the morning reviewing our perfect 10/10 Homecare.co.uk rating and has officially issued his first three "Executive Orders" for all our visits across Hull and East Yorkshire:
🐾 The "Slow Down" Rule: Stanley has noticed that the best part of any visit is the conversation. He’s decreed that no cup of tea shall be drunk alone - if the kettle is on, a minimum of 10 minutes must be spent sharing a story (and maybe a biscuit).
🐾 Mandatory Quality Control: All meal prep sessions must now include a "rigorous" taste test - specifically for sausages. Stanley has volunteered himself for this difficult task.
🐾The Local Landmark Bonus: To make sure our clients get the best of our beautiful local area, any companionship outing to Beverley Westwood or Hessle Foreshore now requires a mandatory "stop and sniff the breeze" break.
Stanley is currently napping under the Care Manager's desk after such a busy morning of leadership 💤

Sadly we’ve had to make the difficult decision to 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 planned for next Tuesday, 24th February.
We know how much support our local family carers need, and it was our hope to bring everyone together for a relaxed, helpful evening at our Anlaby office. While we won't be meeting in person this time, please know that our commitment to supporting you remains exactly the same.
If you are currently feeling overwhelmed or just need a bit of guidance, you don’t have to wait for an event to get the answers you need. We know from experience that great carers can make a genuine difference to our clients’ lives. Particularly when family can’t be there, we can provide much needed companionship and social interaction, as well as professional, practical support.
We recruit our carers based on the ‘Mum Test’ - in addition to the standard recruitment processes you’d expect from a home care agency, at Sirius we only recruit people that we’d trust to look after our own family – we feel that’s the very best test we can do.
Our office team has almost 20 years’ experience in care, and over that time we’ve seen it all. As a result we firmly believe in person-centred care (as opposed to a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach that many other providers take) and these values form the basis of all that we do.
