We have recently been made aware of a group that is available for stroke survivors, or relatives of a stroke survivor.

This is a group that enables Stroke survivors and their friends and relatives to meet together socially, to work creatively and experimentally as an ensemble to compose and perform music.

Are you ever worried about what would happen if something happened to you?
Not only does our carers card identify you as an unpaid carer, it also provides 2 benefits:
1. Emergency Response โ€“ this ensures if you are not able to provide your caring role due to an accident of emergency situation support can be arranged by calling the number on the card.
2. Discounts โ€“ Access to a range of 100 local services/businesses that are offering discounts and concessions.

Funded jointly by Hull City Council and East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the new Haltemprice & West Hull MediBus Service is now available for bookings.
The medibus will serve those unable to access the sites via conventional bus travel and that live at a Hull address to the west of Ferensway and Beverley Road (A1079) as well as those in the East Riding parishes of Anlaby, Cottingham, Hessle, Kirk Ella and Willerby.
Journeys on the medibus must be booked in advance, with bookings taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
Fares for using the medibus service are as follows:
โ€ข Child, under the age of 16, and person travelling with the holder of a Companion Bus Pass โ€“ no charge.
โ€ข Disabled and concessionary pass holder โ€“ single ticket: ยฃ2.50, return ticket: ยฃ5.
โ€ข Adult without any type of bus pass โ€“ single ticket: ยฃ5, return ticket: ยฃ10.
To book a journey, call 03456 445959, 9am-4pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9am-3.30pm, on Friday (excluding bank holidays) or email the details of the journey required to passengerbookings@eastriding.gov.uk
