The pictures are in from Debbies walk across the Yorkshire Three Peaks! I love seeing how the weather has changed over the 12 hour walk, from wet and misty at the top of Pen-y-Ghent to a bit more cloudy sunshine across Whernside and Ingleborough.

There is still time for some last minute donations to support the cause and help the purchase of some new sensory equipment.

The final amount for our Marfleet Lane sponsored walk has come in, with £1495 raised, including a very generous single donation of £500, and some material donations such as a new shed and artificial grass.

Work has commenced and some of the residents are already out enjoying the garden and the sunshine 🌞

After 21 years, our wonderful receptionist Jean retired last week. The welcoming smile will be much missed but we wish Jean all the best and to enjoy her new found freedom ❤

There is now just 1 week left to go before Debbie takes on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks! It's forecast to be a scorcher of a weekend and fingers crossed it cools down a touch for the long walk ahead.

Days like today are the best days to be down at Matthews Enterprise!
Work is well underway on dismantling the greenhouses, but my favourite thing is cuddles with Ruby and Izzy, then a quick visit to the chucks and ducks! Unfortunately Fred (the Kune Kune Pig) was feeling a little shy!

More photos and totals are coming in from our sponsored walks. Potterill also completed a rather windy walk once the rain stopped, raising £320.
The service users are all incredibly proud.

Our Humber Bridge walks have been completed.
Green Lane Farm completed theirs on the day in rather blustery conditions, raising around £850 towards their sensory garden.
Marfleet Lane delayed by a few days due to the adverse weather on Thursday but have now completed the walk. Final amount is being counted after all outstanding sponsorships are collected.
The staff and service users are incredibly proud of their walk and the money raised towards their gardens.

Tomorrow is our sponsored walk across the Humber Bridge! The weather looks to clear up and should be reasonably dry but likely to be pretty windy.
This is a massive feat for our service users, and the carers pushing the heavier wheelchairs up that hidden incline.
