Simple activity idea delivered by staff this week in a 1 to 1 session, for looking at self development and identity.

Write a message to your future self and hang it on the tree to open next year.

This promotes thinking of yourself in the future, saying kind things to yourself, setting goals and aspirations, lovely activity fitting into the "Competency" element of the ARC framework.

World AIDS Day – 1 December 2025

On World AIDS Day, we honor progress in the fight against HIV/AIDS and recommit to ending stigma and ensuring equitable healthcare.

We remember those who were unable to benefit from the progress made today and suffered due to stigma and a lack of understanding from society.

While new infections and deaths have significantly decreased, millions still face barriers to treatment.

Together, let’s build a future free from AIDS with hope, action, and compassion.

Today is White Ribbon Day — a time to ask: What are you doing to speak out against violence towards women and girls?

Many people think sexual assault or harassment are rare, isolated events. The truth? Everyday actions matter. Ignoring sexist jokes, catcalling, or staring might seem small, but these behaviours can lead to serious harm. Every time we stay silent, we miss a chance to set a better example.

At Cornerhouse, we have worked with boys and young men for many years around these issues. Some may never have considered the impact of staying quiet, while others may have engaged in harmful behaviours. Our approach is gentle, avoiding shame, and focused on education and gradual change.

A powerful quote and a huge step forward for one young man, you will see on our internationals men's day post from last week from a young person who said:
"I realised after our last session when we were talking about healthy relationships that I was actually the one doing some of the toxic things in relationships"

Over the next 16 days — and always — look for opportunities to be part of the solution. Visit to learn more and join the campaign.

A part of our work at Cornerhouse is helping young men and boys process their feelings and explore who they are.
Masculinity isn’t about fitting a mold—it’s about being the best version of YOU.
This International Men’s Day, let’s promote positive conversations about men, manhood, and masculinity.❤️

The original AIDS Memorial Quilt was conceived in the US in 1985 by activist Cleve Jones, and continues to serve as a powerful memorial to those who have died from AIDS-related causes, symbolising the impact of the epidemic on the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.

The concept of the AIDS quilts spread around the world and you will find many different and beautiful examples.

We last made a quilt in 2005, 20 years after the original quilt, and with another 20 years having passed it seems fitting to create a new one, to raise awareness, end the stigma and share the love of the amazing community who have both been affected by and supported those with HIV and AIDS.

Cornerhouse first started life as the community group AIDS Action, becoming formally registered as a charity in 1988, while our work looks a lot different today, our values, ethos and pride come from our foundations in AIDS Action.

Let’s stitch together hope, remembrance & unity.
