We want to take a moment to recognise the truly incredible work that Mysterious Minds does for our community.

The support they offer to families who have lost someone to su***de goes far beyond words. From emotional support to even helping ease the financial burden of funeral costs, their work brings light into some of the darkest moments a family can face. What they do doesn’t take the pain away, nothing ever could! but it helps carry some of the weight when it feels unbearable.

At Evergreen Funeral Services, we strongly believe in giving back to the community where it matters most. That belief is the reason we have decided to reduce our fees by £395 for any funeral we conduct for families who are struggling financially following the loss of a loved one to su***de. It is our way of standing alongside families at a time when they need support, understanding, and compassion, not added pressure. We would also like to gently encourage fellow funeral directors, no matter how big or small, to consider doing the same in these circumstances. This isn’t about competition or recognition, it’s about humanity. About giving back where it truly matters.💛

As a funeral director, We see first-hand the incredible work carers do for the elderly in care homes and out in the community. It isn’t just tasks and timetables, it’s a real connection, real compassion, and most of all real feelings.! When one of their clients pass away, it’s not “just another resident”. Carers grieve equally. They carry memories, stories, and the quiet moments no one else ever sees. Their hearts take the knocks long before ours do. So this is simply a gentle acknowledgement that your work matters, your care matters, and you matter. Remember, We’re here for the families we serve and that includes the carers who walk beside them every day.!

Come together to honour loved ones and share memories in a warm, peaceful setting. You’ll be invited to write names or messages on paper leaves for our memorial tree which will later planted to bloom as wildflowers, a lasting tribute of love and remembrance.

Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get said enough, you do not have to settle for a council funeral.

Too often we meet families who were never told their options, never offered a chance to say goodbye properly, and never shown that a direct cremation doesn’t have to mean being treated like a parcel in the post.
At Evergreen, we do things differently, because dignity isn’t optional.

✔️ Our direct cremation still uses a hearse.
Because every person deserves a respectful final journey, no matter the budget.
✔️ Families can come to our chapel of rest to say goodbye.
A silent room, a final moment, a chance to breathe. No one should be denied that.
✔️ We’re one of the cheapest funeral directors offering a proper, respectful direct cremation.
Affordable doesn’t have to mean cutting out humanity.
✔️ You can leave from your home address if you wish.
Because it matters and because it should always be your choice, not a system’s convenience.
So before anyone is pushed towards a “council funeral”, please know this:
