💚 It’s Mental Health Awareness Week 💚

A gentle reminder that mental health matters, every single day. Life can feel overwhelming sometimes and it’s okay to not have everything figured out.

• Be kind to yourself
• Take a break when you need one
• Talk to someone you trust
• Check in on your friends

Remember, asking for help is a strength, not a weakness.

You never truly know what someone is carrying behind a smile, so let’s choose kindness, patience, and understanding.

This week and every week, let’s help break the stigma around mental health and remind people that they are not alone. 💚

STRESSED? Your body may be trying to tell you something…

Stress doesn’t only affect your thoughts — it can show up physically too, often in ways people don’t immediately connect to stress.

Some common physical signs of stress can include:

• Difficulty breathing or panic attacks
• Blurred vision or sore, tired eyes
• Trouble sleeping or constant fatigue
• Muscle aches, headaches or tension
• Indigestion, heartburn or digestive discomfort
• Sudden weight gain or loss
• Feeling dizzy, faint or unwell
• Skin flare-ups, itching or chest discomfort
• High blood pressure or heart palpitations
• Feeling constantly on edge or unable to relax
• Jaw clenching, teeth grinding or shallow breathing
• Frequent colds or lowered immunity

When stress is left unaddressed, the body often carries the burden.

Recognising these signs early can be the first step towards feeling calmer, healthier and more in control.

As my clinical counselling volunteer placement comes to an end, I just want to say a sincere thank you to everyone at Valued Minds, Space2BHeard and Ellesmere Counselling and Psychotherapy Training for making me feel so welcome and supported throughout my time on placement.

I’m also deeply grateful to the clients I’ve had the privilege to work with. Thank you for your trust, openness and willingness to share your journeys, it has been an honour to walk alongside you.

Over the past year and a half, I’ve been given so much guidance, encouragement and opportunity to grow and I truly appreciate all the support I’ve received.

Although this chapter is ending, it’s not really goodbye, I know I’ll still see many of you around. It’s been a pleasure to be part of such supportive teams.

Mother’s Day can mean many different things to different people.

For some, it’s a day filled with joy, love and celebration. For others, it may bring reflection, sadness, longing or quiet remembrance. It might be spent surrounded by family, catching up with friends, honouring memories or simply taking a little time for yourself.

There is no single way to experience today and that’s okay. We are all unique, with our own stories, feelings and relationships that shape how this day feels for us.

Whether today brings happiness, reflection, gratitude or mixed emotions, allow yourself the space to spend it in whatever way feels right for you. Celebrate, remember, rest, connect or simply take a moment of peace.

However you are feeling today, please know there is no judgment — only understanding.

Do you ever find yourself thinking, “I should really be doing something else right now…”?

You know something is important, yet you feel the urge to do something different.

You know what you need to do, but you keep putting it off.

Sometimes you even forget what you planned to do in the first place.

This happens to me too, and I’m sure many others can relate.

Sometimes there’s a deeper reason behind it. Other times, it’s simply a sign that you might need to pause and be a little kinder to yourself in that moment.

Try not to punish yourself for it. We’re human, not machines.

Getting to the end of January can be hard, but you've made it.

We often put a lot of pressure on ourselves throughout the year, but especially in January and at times we just feel like hibernating.

With dark mornings and dark nights, cold weather, and Blue Monday (apparently the saddest day of the year), along with a long list of goals — lose the Christmas weight, set a summer body target, Dry January, more exercise, start the gym, walk more… it can all feel a bit overwhelming.

These goals are things we believe are good for us, but sometimes they can have the opposite effect.

For those that have achieved everything so far, hat's off to you.

If your not quite there, try to set goals that feel more realistic today and take small steps, and give yourself credit for what you do achieve. If things don’t go to plan, don’t punish yourself — review, adjust, and keep going or stop if that's what you need to do.

Take your time. Enjoy the moments. Real wellbeing is built over time.

Support from friends and family can go a long way, but sometimes having a more neutral, professional space can make all the difference. Coaching or therapy can help you gain clarity, set realistic goals, and create positive, sustainable change at your own pace.

If you feel you’d benefit from extra support, I’d be happy to help, feel free to get in touch to find out more.

🎅 Merry Christmas, Everyone! 🎄✨

The most magical day of the year is here again! 🌟

As we gather with family and friends, let’s embrace the joy, laughter, and warmth that make this season so special. Whether you're unwrapping gifts, sharing a delicious meal, or simply enjoying a cozy moment of peace, may your day be filled with love, gratitude, and togetherness. ❤️

Wishing you a Christmas filled with beautiful memories, heartfelt connections, and all the joy your heart can hold.

The picture on the card is one I took at Harewood House, taking in all of the wonderful sights of the season.

🌟 Find Your Moment of Calm

With the holidays just a day away, everything can feel a little intense. Take a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself. Even a small break, a quiet cup of tea, a short walk, or a few mindful breaths, can reset your mind and bring back your sense of ease.

You deserve peace, even in the busiest moments. 💛

I’ll also be taking a well-earned break over the holidays, but feel free to drop me a text or message on 📞 07874189087 if you’d like to explore coaching, hypnotherapy, or blended therapy in the New Year. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

🌟 Give Yourself a Moment of Kindness

As the holidays unfold, let this be your reminder to slow down and care for you. Whether it’s a quiet cup of tea, a grounding breath, or time spent doing something that nourishes your soul, tending to your wellbeing is one of the most meaningful gifts you can offer yourself.

I’ll also be slowing down over the holidays, but feel free to drop me a text or message on 📞 07874189087 if you’d like to explore coaching, hypnotherapy, or blended therapy in the New Year. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

🌟 Joy Begins with You

As we count down to Christmas, remember that the most meaningful joy doesn’t come from the gifts or the glitter, it comes from within.

Spend time with the people who matter, savour the small moments, and embrace gratitude for what you already have. These are the memories and feelings that last long after the season ends. ✨

I'll also be holding gratitude and making memories over the holidays.

If you’d like to explore coaching, hypnotherapy, or blended therapy in the New Year feel free to drop me a text or message on 📞 07874189087.
