My interest in the use of massage started as a sideline to another interest of mine which is fencing. I started out helping a few friends with stiff muscles and general aches and pains. When they started to recommend me to their friends I decided to obtain some Qualifications. After taking early retirement in 2000 I started to study Aromatherapy and the more I looked into it the more interesting I found it. I passed the IIHHT diploma in 2002 and since then have obtained diplomas in Reflexology and Indian Head massage. Over the years I have dealt with clients both male and female ranging in age from 16 to 90 and have been able to help with problems ranging from muscular aches and pains to more complex stress and lifestyle related problems. I have a core of regular clients who started off with specific problems but now use a regular massage appointment to maintain their general feeling of wellbeing. I take great care to suit a treatment to the needs of a client and still take great satisfaction from seeing a client improve. I am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists, membership of which requires that I comply with their code of practice and ethical standards and also that I commit to a program of continuous professional development. In line with current guidelines I am no longer doing regular lateral flow tests, however if you wish to make a booking and have concerns about this please mention this at the time of booking and I will be happy to test before I see you.
Given the constant reports of rising prices everywhere you may be pleased to know that I have no intention of raising my prices for the foreseeable future.

In view of the current tightening of the Covid guidelines I would like to confirm that I am carrying out lateral flow tests twice a week and have done so since appointments restarted.
If any client would like me to test on the morning of their appointment I will be happy to do so if you message me the night before.

In line with the current Covid exit timetable which does appear to be going to plan I shall be resuming work on Monday. If you would like to book an appointment please get in touch
I will be working to Covid guidelines as before and ask that all clients wear face coverings during their session.

Hope everyone is keeping safe. I would just like to take this opportunity to confirm that I am not taking any bookings at the moment. I know that some people are finding creative ways around the lockdown regulations but I am not prepared to take risks with my health or yours. I will resume appointments as soon as I consider it is safe to do so. I will contact anyone with outstanding appointments to confirm this individually.

Hope everyone is keeping well, just an update on the Covid situation. It looks likely that Hull and the surrounding areas will move into tier 3 when the national lockdown is lifted however the restrictions in each tier are due to be increased so it's a case of wait and see. I am happy to resume appointments as soon as it is allowed but can't say when that will be.

It is my intention to start work on July 13th as per the latest guidance.
If you book an appointment I will arrive wearing PPE and having used hand sanitizer.
You as the client must wear a facemask and anyone else in your household must maintain a minimum 2 metres distance or wear a mask if this is not possible.
I will divide my working day into three periods, morning, afternoon, evening.
I will only visit one household in any one period, this will give me time to clean or replace any equipment
If you or any member of your household develops symptoms of Covid19 you must cancel your appointment even if I am already at your door.
You must also inform me if anyone develops symptoms after my visit.
I will do my utmost to keep you safe and hope you will do the same for me.

The latest statement from Boris has specifically excluded Spa and other face to face treatments from the list of things allowed to restart next month. So it is fingers crossed for a date soon but until then I hope everyone can stay safe.

Update on the Covid19 situation, at the moment government advice is that salon based businesses may reopen next month but as yet have not mentioned mobile therapists.
The professional bodies are actively advising against home visits at the moment.
I am currently looking at methods of reducing risks to myself, clients and their families with the intention of restarting when the guidelines allow but only when I feel it is safe to do so.
Hopefully that will be not too far in the future.

In view of the current health precautions re covid 19 I have decided to suspend my business for the foreseeable future. I don't want to risk passing the virus to clients most of whom I consider as friends. Hopefully we can all resume at some point in the future.
